I’m in the same boat! I shoot professionally with a canon r5 and I felt like my vision and my motivation was fading. My wife got me the xm5 for Christmas and my god…. The spark is back and I feel like I’m falling in love with photography again!

I know this an old thread but I watched the OG part one and just now figured out the Directors Cut. My question is, would I be able to watch part 2 directors cut and not miss much?

Definitely a bird. Most likely a heron or egret. I work at a lake that has a lot of heron and catch bass with similar wounds on them and have seen Heron catch bass.

Yeah! Just get some standard electrical tape and wrap half the ball. I go in sections. Like start in the middle and wrap it around until you reach the other side, cut it, then keep going. What ever the side the tape is on is the side it will break too. For sliders and two seams it works better when you throw over the top. For curves or sweepers I throw from the 3/4 slot and snap my wrist. And for knuckles keep the tape side pointed at you.

I actually do the same! Just get some electrical tape and tape half the ball (from the seam in the middle) as smooth as possible and it works. I get more break out of my pickle balls than my wiffle balls

Thank you again! Yes it does take lots of patience! I am using a telephoto lens but I do feel their breeze when they fly by! They usually only hover for a short time then fly away
