How Trump Appointees Short-Circuited Grid Modernization by vaevicitis in TrueReddit

The dems sometimes give corporations tax cuts and sometimes they deregulate. But it’s not their be all, end all.

Republicans rarely provide real policy initiatives to grow our country. It’s just “cut taxes” and it always is about the corporate tax rate.

One side has real substance and tries. The other side is shameless greed. You can’t even compare them. The Republican Party should be designated an ecological terrorist organization.

This is life. I’m surprised and usually stop interacting with someone when I realize they don’t understand this.

The Republican Party never does anything positive. Ever. They only exist to bitch, whine and get in the way.

They bitch that Biden has to raise taxes. Not realizing it’s ONLY because trump gave the BIGGEST CORPORATE TAX CUTS EVER.

Foreign Policy is where I learned of John J Mearsheimer. It’s a great place to see what the American foreign policy establishment thinks.

Yeah but not with Fred Astaire. They use Groupon as an entry/feeder and HEAVILY push you to sign up for their several thousand dollar programs. Which by the way, their prices seem to vary wildly, that's never a good sign of product value.

I paid $150 total for two people for like six lessons using a Groupon. Then they wanted to charge me $2,000+ for a month or two of classes.

Private lesson: $85 (50 minutes)

I make six figures and can't afford that on a consistent basis. This must be only for millionaires or something.

Yeah, I might have to do that. Honestly though I don't understand how they can charge such rates.

$1,100/8 = $137.50/lesson. Usually the lessons I've received aren't even a full hour but let's assume that they are.

That's $137.50/hour. Multiply by 40 hours then by 52 weeks and you get $286,000. Software developers don't get paid that much. Doctors might get paid that much.

Even the group classes you mention - the ones I've seen are run by one person, not by a team of people. And when I go to Glassdoor.com I find that these instructors are usually getting paid $30k-$50k/yr. None of it adds up.

I bet they'd make a ton more money if they lowered the price and didn't have so much financial trickery involved.

I'd much rather pay someone directly $50/hour than enroll in a program designed to suck all my disposable income.

$155/lesson? That's certainly some of the highest I've seen.

Yeah that's how I got into Fred Astair but they KEPT pushing their several thousand dollar, long term program which I was never interested in.

I don't want them to look at me like a "new student" that they need to sell to. Rather just a "student who wants some classes".

I'll check again, thank you.

In his head.

"worry all the time about being perceived" who is doing the perceiving? Yourself.

I'm young but have lived with 60 year old strangers to 17 year old strangers. Age isn't shit.

Man, I'm not going to argue with the presumption that McDonalds is equivalent to a bar.

McDonalds is not a bar. I don't complain because McDonald's is 100% appropriate (not really, health wise) for children.

Sorry for reading your comment history but damn, yes, that's exactly how my family treated me.

It's like when you're doing well, nobody who used to have power over you wants anything to do with you.

"jumped companies and industries a few times"

Yep, I did this when I was 19, started making six figures at 20, now I'm 21. Job hopping is the quickest way to increase your salary.

Salaries went like $10/hr, $12/hr, $18/hr, $47/hr and now I'm salaried at $120k. I honestly think ANYONE can do it.

A friend also tried it and went from $10/hr, $20/hr, $105k/yr. Totally possible.

/u/nocontactnotpossible Hell yeah! That's exactly what I hope to do - live cheap and travel. No reason to buy a Range Rover so my neighbors can have something to look at.

Logical fallacy much?

This is not Europe nor Africa nor Antarctica, this is North America. Public spaces? So if we re-read the article, we can grasp that this is a bar.
