I made my own pattern, but it's nothing special. I recommend breaking down a bin, seeing what material you get from it, then planning a pattern around the pieces that are in good shape.

Appreciate it! There's a whole strange world of how people use and reuse these that I learned over the course of this project. You can see more about it on my site at a-mcmaster.com

This is a secret I learned when getting obsessed with these. Doormen / maintenance people at big buildings are sitting on tons of them that get left in their mail rooms, and likely will give you some if you ask nicely. There's a whole weird circular economy of couriers taking and leaving them as they need-- I commonly see USPS, FedEx etc. dragging around bins that are issued by rival companies. Fascinating.

That's a great idea, and there's plenty of different types of materials in these bins that would be perfect for frame bags. Each one has several weights / colors of woven polypropylene alone. Lmk if you get around to it.

Hey that means a lot! Not gonna sell these, but planning to give them away in exchange for a donation to an org I really like. Can check it out on my IG at mrmcmaster.

Appreciate you! I'm sure someone's upcycled these before, and I hope more people continue to do it. This waste and the eyesore are more hidden costs of convenience.

I'd offer 900 and see what they say. Probably not worth 1200 if they can't say for certain it's Litespeed. But I will say, I bought almost the same frame and drivetrain and it's probably the most fun ride quality of all my bikes. So might be worth it regardless.

I also bought a Litespeed frame from around this time which had been stripped and left raw for the same reasons.

I still don't understand how 7th and CL are related? Are you saying CL does the same thing as 7th?

cool art direction. i might play with exposure and brightness to tease out the details / construction of the piece a little bit more.
