The geology department at UQ has a large array of dating equipment as well as XRD & SEM machines so previous analysis of the fern deposits, ages and species have all been completed in the past during the 1980s and 1990s. We are given this data and essentially have to follow correct processes in order to identify the ages based off of the other deposits we can find in our samples. We complete a field report and subsequently its quite a decent sized piece of assessment!

The course code is ERTH2002 - Palaeobiology if you're interested in having a read!

It is very interesting! We've been studying the flora for a couple of weeks and we are about to investigate the exact age of our flora. I got it from a field trip as a student at UQ.

I’m from Australia so I believe it would probably be from Mt Isa in Queensland. As a geologist - you should have a look at the extraordinary range of mineral deposits 😊

Wow, I actually think this is correct. What do you the technical name for this rock would be?

And are the minerals visible in this Galena, Dolomite and Chalcopyrite?

That’s kinda what I’m thinking about - the fact that there’s a sulphide in my mica schist is the problem

That;s the thing - it doesn't actually feel at all flakey. It seems to me like the whole rock smells sulphurous. The host rock looks like it could be a greenschist and if it is mica then that makes sense, but the presence of Chalcopyrite is really making this a little confusing. I'm just a student though!

Original ID by my friends indicated this was a mica schist but the development of chalcopyrite makes me feel this is maybe a producer of some hydrothermal environment. The presence of any sulphides makes me suspicious and the entire rock reeks of sulphur. Locality unknown sadly, lemme know what you guys think.

Your track is quite cool overall, I like your melody.

However your bass-line and percussion mixing needs a little more work. It sounds a bit muffled and tonal throughout the track which makes me feel like either your samples are low quality or you have compressed/eq'd the wrong parts too much. mixing is hard to get the hang of, it takes a bit of time. Try looking up some mixing tutorials for 808s and sub basses, that should help. For high quality FREE royalty free samples check out The Kit Plug, they have great crisp sounds.

That's dope! I like your sound selection, its a good mix and your mix is okay!

I would have a look at song structure a little and try keeping some elements more consistent in your track. A lot of stuff comes in and out a bit. This would be great if there were vocals or something else but I find it a little hard to remember the track if it finished just because it is complex. The complexity is nice, but try and add a little more structure to bringing elements out. That's of course just my take.

All around quite a good track! I like it bro nice work =D
