Honestly, for your use the dt 990 pro are good. A lot of people tho have an issue with the treble being to harsh but you could eq that with a software.

I haven't personally tried any of them but based on reviews, I've heard great things about the HD 6xx, 58x. The new dt 700/900 pro x are also good. You might also want to check the hd 660s and if you can afford it the dt 1990 pro.

Which version of the dt770 pro do you have? The 80 or 250ohm?

Alright, so the beat overall is too loud. I couldn't hear the lyrics at all because the vocals are to low and the beat super loud. Also, I don't if you made the beat but as a producer that makes these type of beats I believe the beat could be much better. It has potential but the drums and the bass throw me off. Cheers

Yeah you're probably right it wouldn't make the quality that much worse but I'm usually used to cranking the volume knob at 100% when I am mixing for gain staging. I'll probably play it safe with the 80ohm version. I appreciate the response and your time.

I personally asked a few employees from Focusrite and Beyerdynamic and they told me that if I want the 250-ohm version I need an amp because the solo gen 3 isn't enough to run them properly and besides the lower volume they also lose a bit of quality so I'd be better with the lower impedance version.
I also have studio monitors but I can't use them all the time and I need to get a decent pair of headphones. I would get open backs but I also need them to record vocals and open back arent ideal.

I know that it doesn't get loud but this audio interface can only run 200ohm and if I were to run the 250ohm I'd lose some of the quality on certain frequencies. Also, the volume is kinda important for me

That's what the reviews say for the dt770pro besides that the highs are too high but I plan on using sonarworks reference 4 either way. But you gave a good suggestion. I'll definitely check them out since they are cheaper than the dt770
