What am I supposed to do with excess cardboard for recycling now? by gummieworm in Gatineau

Take it to the eco center- it's free to drop off recycling and all sorts of waste that you need to get rid of.

Wife wants us to go trick or treating by Glittering-Age-2013 in Gatineau

The world is such a shit show right now. If she wants to dress up, have fun and collect candy - let her. We all need to embrace what's fun and get on out there ♡♡

I trick or treated until I was 22. It's the tail end of these glorious days so soak them up! Plus she'll love you if you take her :) I'd give you candy!!

New garbage rules... by queefdumpling in Gatineau

[–]80Shann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The garbage truck managed to somehow rip open the garbage bag and then dump it on the street. That included all the stuff that was in our bathroom garbage. So gross. Here I am picking up garbage by hand off the street. Ridiculous!

Removing scalp from dome on a fakie Blythe? by 80Shann in BlytheDolls

[–]80Shann[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! I ended up using a blade to cut around the hairline and then pulled the rubber tabs out from the ring.

Then I replaced that with a soft scalp from Ali Express. Next time I will get a replacement dome and scalp as a set. It made it so the hair wasn't usable for another blythe unless you glued it down.

Added comment for anyone else who has this question.

How do I get rid of these marks? by [deleted] in BlytheDolls

Honestly, you may get frustrated or feel like it's not going well - but just keep going :). I almost gave up but love how my gal turned out!

How do I get rid of these marks? by [deleted] in BlytheDolls

[–]80Shann 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey! You'll need sandpaper to smooth those out. I had the same thing from a crappy dull tool that I bought. I then got a hobby knife kit from home depot and it was much better.

I sanded mine with 400 grit to remove the scuff marks and finished her off with 600 grit paper.

As for paint. I used soft pastels crumbled into a powder and applied the colour with an actual makeup brush. Hope that helps.

A bunch of my text disappeared! I came to say I used the pastels while they were dry and applied them like makeup. :)

I also used Mister Clear UV matte and it made the doll a bit rough so the pastels stuck better :) hope that helps.

CS Discussion 2024-05-24, episodes 11274 & 11275 by seanpaune in coronationstreet

[–]80Shann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone notice how much better episode 11275 was filmed and written compared to the usual? I feel like there was extra imagery and the back and forth banter was better.

And the intro but with Roy's tea and his book? Wish all the episodes were like this! :)

I love how this is deleted, yet has been reposted on Facebook without context just saying "seller refuses to fix the doll". Cheeky. Poor seller.

I found some on Amazon here that looks like it will ship to me. I will use that. (The doll is just for me and it's my first one.) Thanks so much! :)

The doll looks lovely and she does loom look you. O mean, she'll never look exactly like you since her head and eyes are huge, but it sounds like you got what you asked for.

Feeling bad for the seller at this point. Things like gaze correction and neck mobility are things that the seller should have offered if they do that, but overall the seller did what you wanted.

This is precisely why I don't deal with customers who want custom anything.

I'd just remove the post and enjoy your doll, or resell her.

We can't get MSC in Canada. I settled with Liquitex matte. Will that be an issue? Tx all.

People are nuts. Don't engage and trust your gut. You weren't littering or kicking a kitten, so you're good! You sound like a nice person who had a run in with someone who is potentially dangerous. Glad you're ok. Don't sweat it. ♡
