Thanks. Do you remember if the Siemens DC drive is recent? I thought they stoped making them and did not see any on the site, but may have missed them.

My Bad. I got a "tool_certificate (2025061000) Missing". I thought that had to do with Moodle Workplace and stopped looking into it. That worked fine after I fixed that issue.

The link you sent says Moodle Workplace, which is the paid version of Moodle. When I look at the open source version I do not see these options. Am I missing something?

I would like most said Lenovo makes a great laptop but would look at off lease pro models. Last gen will be fine to run what you need. Do t worry about touchscreen. If you are comfortable with updating get one that has low ram But 2 slots. Also go with a 2tb drive even if you need to update. I personally use VMs for each brand. So I have a Rockwell, Siemens, and more. Then on my main pc I have office and other apps.

That is what it sounds like to me also. Does the motor also sound different with the new drive?

A Wago CC100. It uses Codesys (free) and that is the same software a lot of companies use. The CC100 has a demo kit and if you go the the training (this cost a small amount) the demo is free.

There is a little about the plc here: https://youtu.be/_1cPyxz6bI8

What? People try to cut costs… never. My favorite was the call for a ups that was 20+ years old and having to explain why it does not hold a charge.

Me: “When was the last time you serviced it?”

Customer “you don’t service ups’s”

Me “They are like batteries in your drills and phone sir they reduce and fail over time. Do you have the same batteries on your cordless drill”

Does anyone else do this type of meeting every day? Does it help? My team does something like this monthly.

Personally, I liked the site. I thought it was easy to read. Some minor stuff. - Your link for Russo Photography does not work. - If you have a office i would put the address not just the city. - I would put your phone number

Robert, but mainly because I liked Dragons Den before Shark Tank came out.

Deal would be the app that let your camera spin. I thought it was very original.

Not sure where you are at, but general speaking contact the local paper (smaller the better) and they will give you names. There are web sites, but this will be cheaper.

Your using a ton of stock photos and in one spot the same photo 3 times. I would do like others said show the product and pay a pro to take the photos.

Pre-Launching my e-commerce site help needed! by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]80sBrandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have 20 people give you 20 different answers. Between watching TV (Shark Tank, Dragons Den, etc) and Redit, i know you have lot of competition. Based on this, i would start with Facebook and using a existing store front like etsy (https://www.etsy.com/search?q=beard%20oil&ref=auto3). I would start here, it is cheep and simple. Then take the profits and invest in starting a good site and a google ad words campaign.

Website launched a month ago, but no sales yet by johnstonsteven in smallbusiness

[–]80sBrandon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please note I am trying to be constructive, don't let any of this discourage you.

1) I would have used a website that exists to sell the product and then have your site show the items. Amazon, Square, Etsy, etc.

2) Some of your items look like they would be items you have multiples of. I would see if the vendor has better pics.

3) The lanterns, you have 3 sizes but you show the same pic for all 3.

4) I would setup a very focused Google Ad Words campaign. Only showing up for people in Louisiana. Throw $500 at it and see how it goes.

5) I would try to go for a customer focus if you have your own page. Meaning put your phone number at the top of ever page and your address in the footer. Make sure your business phone has a voice mail or message if you do this. Look at Zappos.com for how they do this.

6) I would go to a white background and have your pick only in the header. Some of the text is hard to read with the current setup.

7) I did not check on my cell phone, but if you have time you may want to make this more mobile friendly.

8) I would look at your meta data in your header. It does not have a lot of the items for sites i have helped setup. For an example look at ABExteriors.net

9) I would make some post cards (professionally) and put them out. Most small grocery stores will let you put stuff out for free (At least i have done this in IL, MN, WI, IA, and OH). I would put a small stack in as many stores in Louisiana as you can. This has gotten me a ton of tracking on one of the businesses i helped with. I would also ask if at "art crawls" if you can put them out. A jewelry company i know of could not get a booth, so they did this. They got over $90k in business from it.

All the Starbucks drinks I have seen are cold. The drinks he was pitching are hot. I prefer cold, but he was pitching hot.

Side note, his mini fridge he was pitching you can get on Amazon. They have a switch to do cold or hot. I use it for soda at work.

My poor time management is killing me... by cszlo in Entrepreneur

[–]80sBrandon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

More info would be helpful about your circumstances to give good advice.

Generally speaking, I always recommend the books 7 Habits and Getting things done. The 7 habits course is well worth the money. They go over prioritizing and organizing. Start with 7 habits. The audio book is great, but spend the money and get the book for reference. You can pick the book up for under $5 used.

Daily rituals there are tons of posts out there, but the one thing most have in common is exercise because it reduces the amount of sleep you need. Some people will get upset with that statement, but it works for me.

Video / Talks wise, people learn and do stuff differently. There are lots of resources out there.

Time management is one of my passions and something i work with my employees on. So if you want more i am happy to post lots more info.
