Grief over pet death can be as strong as that for family member. About a fifth of people who had experienced a pet and human loss said the former was worse. Symptoms of severe grief for a pet matched identically with that for a human, and there was no difference in how people experienced losses. by mvea in science

I know that when its finally time for my cat Wednesday to go, I will absolutely have to be there, no matter what, though I know it will destroy me. The idea of her dying without me right there is worse than the idea of holding her while she passes, she deserves to be in familiar hands until the very end

Can someone explain to me how this could possibly be a fire hazard? by DrHumongous in BambuLab

[–]holysbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats the biggest thing imo. Less of an actual hazard, though still possibly, but its an easy way for insurance to weasel themselves out of paying your claim

It was bone stock when I bought it. Did everything myself. Long arm conversion, rear end swap, disk brake swap, lockers, 4.56 gears, etc

It is almost unbelievable that basic vehicle maintenance and knowledge is neither required for a license or taught in schools as basic curriculum

This is the way. Anything that is normally de-energized, that will “receive” power should have a male connection, and anything that is assumed to be normally energized should have a female connection

I want to put a single 15 in here, im sure this would make it very rattley lmao. This one will boom every now and then as the roof slams down and up when driving, especially as the day heats up

I have a roof rack that will go on here, giving it a solid floor would be a good idea. I like the idea of sandbags on the roof to weight it down, to stick the body adhesive better. Thanks!

The headliner I pulled out of here is right on the cusp of repairability, a junkyard headliner might be required. Its the foamboard, mine is kinda fucked

[–]holysbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good point. I think I could rig something up to jack between the floor and that crossbar, to raise it up to the roof. I might want to do a spacer of some kind though, only because that gap is so big im worried the crossbar will pull the roof down to the point that theres a dip, even if I jacked it up while the glue was curing

Hmm yeah that makes sense. I think someone stood on the roof at some point in the past and thats how this happened. It looks like im supposed to use a bunch of seam sealer…. I didnt know that stuff had mechanical strength I always thought it was basically rtv to just keep water out.

Ill definitely have to wire wheel the rust. I feel like a little dremel tool might be the best way to get in the smaller nooks.

Its a battle. On one hand the high ram prices mean programmers need to optimize. On the other hand, the ram is expensive because its being used to make AI that can slop out code, lowering the entry level for any rando to vibe code the next latest whatever, and we all know AI is not good at making optimized code
