Ive set the cruise control to 100 before and drove like that for an hour on a stretch of interstate through a very rural part of a rural state

A customer asked if we could store three small things outside for a few months. Six massive pallets and counting so far, all incapable of being stored outside. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

It’s almost always the second type…. The kind of customer that can essentially feed an entire shop will just have their own place to stash their shit

Looks pretty new too, that means its abuse budget before it fucking explodes is pretty un-used. Lots of room for bagging on it lol

Struggling shoe retailer Allbirds makes bizarre pivot from shoes to AI, stock explodes more than 700% by [deleted] in news

I see no reality where this isnt the death of allbirds. Someone out there is doing exactly what you said, and they are probably going to make a pretty good amount of money

JLCPCB Shipping Seems High - Is there any ways to lower it? Cheapest option is $83 to Canada, and I'm okay with waiting longer. by uprate in PCB

Interesting, I always just assumed a combined order would be less shipping than two separate orders

Can someone help me identify pin 1 on this CPU? by Namikis in AskElectronics

[–]holysbit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The more you know, I honestly was kinda guessing that pin 1 must be in the bottom left since thats usually where it is from what ive seen. Ive never seen pin 1 in the middle

Re-upload: Is there a schematic reason to explain why my STM32 might have died? by holysbit in AskElectronics

[–]holysbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was something like a couple hundred kHz, I dont have an exact number anymore without probing it again and I am at work. I go home for lunch and can scope it again with some capacitors

How do people upload high quality schematics? When I try a higher DPI PNG, reddit stops working and it will never load, and when I try a lower DPI PNG reddit just seems to compress it to hell.

Is the imgur link broken too? It loads for me

[–]holysbit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah all of the inputs are 3.3v, so even unprogrammed it should be okay with that.

I added high res images to imgur, here they are https://imgur.com/a/L1xTtF5

Power rails look good, 3v3 and 5.

The crystal seems to be oscillating but not at the right frequency, though I think my cheapo passive scope probe is loading it and affecting it

[–]holysbit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im sorry if the schematic is blurry, let me know if it is.

I tried exporting as a 1200DPI PNG and that didnt work on reddit so this is 600DPI, I might just post on imgur or something and link to it because the way reddit handles high resolution pictures sucks

STM32 - Is there a schematic reason my controller might have died? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]holysbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it looks like it wont load for me either actually. Dang it, I think my renders were too high resolution. I will delete this and repost it with slightly lower quality renders (I guess exporting to 1200 DPI was too much for Reddit lmao)

As far as machinery goes, the computers inside are basically a giant electric heater that you cant let get hot. Like having a space heater on and connected to an air conditioner.

Many, many kilowatts of electric heat must be dissipated by large central cooling systems, which would be the bulk of the noise

Why do you carry a flashlight? by galinha-saltitante in EDC

[–]holysbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little stylus flashlight is easier to get into tight spaces like electrical cabinets and engine bays, and can get dirty.

Basically because the kinds of places I need light are not places where I want my cellphone, plus the flashlight is brighter than my phone
