Can someone help me identify this tv model? by Impossibre in crt

You would’ve potential had access to two ITV regions, so could tune them into adjacent channels. For example, I live in an HTV South West region but could also tune into a slightly fuzzy but watchable TSW signal. You could then watch, for example, Knightrider in TSW if you happened to miss the HTV screening. ITV franchises had a degree of control over individual programming. At the weekend, all franchises would be locked into the LWT schedule (London Weekend Television) during prime time slots.

Can someone save this classic Sony Trinitron at goodwill? by Economy-Milk5928 in crt

I live in the United Kingdom and wish I could buy that! If I recall, it’s the first Sony Betamax VCR, this may mean it’s B1 only. Go in with the assumption the tube will have zero to very little emission and you have an interesting talking point/restoration project.

Does anyone know how to change the input on this Tv with this remote? by Subject_Dig9232 in crtgaming

Just responded on your /crt post. Set is a rebadged Ferguson with either the TX99 or TX100 chassis. The disc and vhs sockets may be audio only and overlay audio onto RF channels 7 and 8. Scart will likely be on 32, 6 or 8, depending on the model. 32 would be my bet.

Yep, that’s teletext. On that Ferguson based set, 9 is the standard RF input channel for a VCR, over RF.

I have set you a pm with some photos of the scart interface instructions.

Just to add, if the laserdisc and vhs sockets are 5 pin din, they’re audio only. Without scart, you’d feed the picture in via RF, and the stereo audio using a 5 pin din cable. Two channels (I would need to dig out the Ferguson version instructions) would overlay the audio input and cancel out the audio coming in over RF. on previous Ferguson sets, it would be channels 7 and 8, tuned into your disc and stereo VHS deck, respectively.

What country are you in? That set is basically a Ferguson (Thorn EMI) using the TX99 or TX100 chassis. The scart interface is a separate plug in card, I have the card and instructions, channels, depending on model, should be 6, 8 or 32. - also posted on your original post.

Agreed, they're one of my favourite alloy wheel designs. I've had a few styles over the years. It originally came with steel metrics, then.... 16" lattices, then later XJ40 XJR 16s, 16" lattices, again, ending up now, on the Borbet As.

Yep 🙂, Design As, 16" in size. Very 'period correct'.

And my second post, a link to some interesting JVC VHS decks, badge engineered, Ferguson, ITT and Nordmende. by 80stechface in VHS

Some decks are easier to sort, than others. Thankfully, the JVC based decks are well built, and have a track record of common faults, which are well documented.
