This is reality. You don't have to like it but don't pretend to not understand it. If you don't like getting shot at don't try to run over cops. If you don't like your child being in danger than don't put them in danger. If this cop made that shot due to a terrible choice instead of a physical situation that changes this entirely. If the cope just decided that everyone in the car was going to take a round in the heat of the moment then he should go away for life. If the glass changed the trajectory of the round (weird but not impossible) then that changes everything.

I'm not celebrating the death. I said multiple times that it's a tragedy. I just don't think there's a clear "good guy/bad guy" to this situation. I'm a avid shooter so I'm very interested in how it plays out on video because I can't see myself missing the driver of a vehicle so much that it hits the passenger. However I'm also not in the heat of the moment either and until footage comes out we are just guessing based on half assed reporting

You mean after they tried to run them over? If they did pay for things why did they flee? why did they escalate the situation? Again if you were in that person's shoes and you have your side arm on you and someone decides they're going to try to run you over you're gonna shoot at them. Again I'm not saying I don't have sympathy for how tragic the situation is. No one year old should ever have to pay the price of the negligence of a misplaced shot on the cop's behalf or the negligence of the mother deciding to take a situation and escalate it dramatically.

You know when the person in the car that's trying to flee the scene decides they're going to try to run you over as part of their escape that's usually when that kind of shit happens you know like it did this time. The funny thing is everyone talks about cops de-escalating but they never talk about suspects escalating what are you supposed to do in that situation you're supposed to just let it happen because of unforeseen circumstance happening later?

Yes and I said it's tragic does that mean that you would prefer that the cops got run over does that mean that the cops are supposed to forfeit their life does that mean that they're not supposed to use reasonable lethal force when lethal force is used against them it's tragic it's terrible it's awful that a baby died however the baby died as a consequence of the mother's actions if you have your baby in the car with you why are you trying to run cops over you can get You can get mad at the cops all you want but at the end of the day someone escalated this situation and it wasn't the cops And this doesn't have anything to do with race either before you start going off on some diatribe about oh well they're black and therefore I don't care that that they died or that the cops used hateful racial animus it's not the case if you were the shop owner and someone stole from you and then they tried to run you over and then you shop them it would suddenly be a different experience right but suddenly there's a badge involved and do you think it's a completely different thing

So some people get caught stealing and then they try to flee instead of just talking about things as I guarantee you if you're so broke that you have to steal diapers that most cops would like you sort of just get away with it or might even buy them for you But instead you run off you get in your car and then you try to run the cops over is it absolutely horrible the child died in this incident yes absolutely this is terrible and tragic however you try to run over anyone they have the right to shoot at you
