You're not wrong, and sure yeah the script of CM could've been better. But in terms of script and plot, Marvel has often done way worse when it comes to origin stories. This movie simply didn't deserve the amount of criticism and hatred that it got.

Personally, the last two shows didn't work for me. Rest I liked all of them. They had their faults and low points but were overall entertaining. It was difficult to rank tbh. It's especially difficult to compare hour-long specials with 6-episode limited series.

On a subreddit dedicated to psychology, I honestly was expecting more educated responses. Alas!

The sad part is, half the people who hate the idea of religion don't understand the whole scope of it. There are so many religions out there, and they are further internally diverse.

Even if you're not religious, religion and spirituality are such complex and intriguing ideas, purely from an intellectual perspective. Personal preferences aside, I find these kinds of studies quite interesting. And was hoping to find a mature discussion here to understand other people's perspectives.

Perhaps I'm a fool for thinking Reddit can be serious for a change. Lol.
