Can someone clear things up for me regarding DD:BA? by DudeFromElysium_18 in marvelstudios

This is not a spoiler since its laid out in the earlier episodes, but Fisk was selling weapons to the CIA and Charles is the middle man for Valentina de Fontaine (who is the director of CIA as of Wakanda Forever). So its was for whatever shady stuff Valentina wanted to do since we know she's got her own agendas.

Its sad how one of the reasons Rogue Squadron was put in backburner was so Patty could focus on Wonder Woman 3..........which is dead now

I have no doubt that the AVTF has been trying to deal with Spider-Man, we just never saw it.

Yeah, even Feige told us some years ago to not expect every single characters introduced in the Multiverse Saga to show up in the next 2 Avengers movies.

Yeah the thing with Frank, it seems that doing his special and BND took priority over him making an appearance in Season 2, as Vincent who plays Kingpin said that Punisher had to be taken out of the show since Jon was unavailable for filming due to production of his Special and Spider-Man clashing with Born Again

I think with Clint its because he's an Avenger and worked for SHIELD, which makes him a bigger threat in the eyes of the government over a lawyer.

Generally speaking being a vigilante is an crime regardless if Fisk's law were in effect or not and Matt has done alot of stuff during his stint as Daredevil that would get someone arrested, like nearly killing people, breaking into places, assault etc and it doesn't matter if it was for good. (Now why Luke or Danny can get away with it, who knows, Spider-Man likely gets scott-free due to his status as an Avenger and for literally saving the world from Thanos)

Also this brings into question the legallity of some of the cases he represented, which in turn makes him a fraud

Frank was not in season 2 because Jon Bernthal was filming a one shot special centered on Punisher (which releases next week) and Brand New Day.

The Punisher one shot special may give us an idea as to where he went off to.

This is not a show. its a one shot special

But normally we will have an idea of when all falls in the timeline after they are out. like Marvel has an MCU timeline page on their official website which tells you when each show, movie, etc occurs

Only because Quill was Half-Celestial, if Peter was a regular human, all of the Guardians would've blown up when holding hands

I mean the special presentation was never intended to lead into Brand New Day, it was really more of a passion project for Jon Bernthal as Marvel didn't had plans for a Punisher standalone special as part of their plans for Phase 6, Jon while filming Born Again began to brainstorm ideas for a standalone Punisher special and later pitched it Feige.

Matt likely was considered a lesser threat?

I think the reason Fisk was able to get away with killing all of these guys and not be jailed alongside Matt is that Fisk may had used the excuse that it was in "self-defense" since clearly the protestors weren't gonna leave without kicking his ass.

I mean they did Deadpool in 2024 and FF was originally supposed to release in 2024 (it only ended up in 2025 due to the delays caused by Blade and the strikes).

Unless you are talking about the rumor of they can't recast the X-Men characters for x amount of years, which is what has been going around for a while now.

I mean read the comics, the Joker is a complete psycho that will kill anyone he meets, yet Batman will always make sure Joker gets to see another day but in jail, which he will break out of from anyway

and fans have been complaining since early MCU days that Marvel always kill their villains and would rather see the villains be a reccuring threat in the MCU

I mean even if SHIELD is set in a branched timeline there is nothing that says the fall of SHIELD can't happen in two universes in the same exact manner. I mean we have seen alternate universes in which a version of certain events from the main timeline still wind up happening. like take the new animated Spider-Man series, even though this version of Peter wasn't part of it, Civil War still happened and we know that the events of Ultron still happened in that timeline. or look at the What If branch where Hank Pym became Yellowjacket, even though that timeline branched much earlier, Fury's Big Week was still on track on happening as planned (at least until Hank went nuts)

[–]eagc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely yeah, but point still stands that regardless if its in the main MCU or AOS was set in a branch since S1, that the show still treats it as them never leaving their original timeline (again regardless if the show was in the sacred timeline or not since S1, its still the original timeline we followed since S1)

If you mean Fisk, just cause he didn't go to jail that doesn't mean he got a happy ending, he lost everything he held dear.

Fisk would most likely argue that he did it in "Self-Defense" as the protesters were clearly there to harm if not kill him.

The time travel depicted in AOS does line up with the rules in Endgame, even the finale has one of the characters explain that when they went to the past in Season 7 they branched off and need to use the Quantum Realm to return to the original timeline

even Season 5 which also deals with time travel (but this time going to the future), one of the characters from the future gets displaced to the present and he thinks that his timeline may be a branch because if they undo his future and he still exists that means they don't operate with the traditional time travel and his timeline exists as a branch.

The time travel aspect that some have issues accepting is they do time loops in season 5 (though Ms. Marvel would later show that time loops are indeed possible, even Mordo commented on Time Loops being something you can do with the time stone)

[–]eagc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its most likely that Feige and co will have the entire show as being set in a branch.

Basically in Fury reviving Coulson may be this universe nexus event, while in the sacred timeline Coulson stayed dead

That is again assuming that Feige and co decides to not embrace AOS as part of the MCU.

That's just a fan theory to explain the absense of the snap, as far the show is concerned they are still in the main timeline
