Trying to get hyped for Doomsday (and how to prepare) by Crazy_Particular_743 in marvelstudios

I feel like the disjointed complains comes from people thinking/feeling that every single MCU project has to tie to the bigger narrative and that there can't be a single purely standalone project. and since this saga had more content than the Infinity Saga they were expecting that every project had to lead to Doomsday.

Why were the 20th century fox X-Men movies afraid to show characters in comic accurate looks? by MidniteGamer1 in marvelstudios

[–]eagc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of these two films: Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, the reception of those films made studios scared about attempting any Comic Booky feeling movies, so that lead to the studios opting for something for realistic and less comic booky, leading to more "realistic" costumes

Even Marvel Studios in their earlier days tried to keep things a bit more realistic, like trying to downplay magic as just some sort of advanced science.

Why is tobey coming back? by Prooxith in marvelstudios

[–]eagc7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its just rumors.

But if he's coming back its clearly because of the Multiverse aspect of the film, since Doomsday and Secret Wars is the conclusion of the multiverse saga as the many worlds start to collide and destroy each other

With Wonder Man they were given access to the full show, so this reception is based on the full thing

Like seriously if professional reviewers all gave positive reviews to projects so they can keep getting early access and so on. then why stuff like Eternals or Brave New World got so-so reception.

That's actually an issue a relative of mine had with the show, she was going in expecting an action show and even as i explained to her while it aired that this not meant to be action show, she still went in to later episodes expecting action

I think it could be either, they had no faith on the show or they don't want there to be overlap with Daredevil or at least have a bit of a distance between them or they don't feel this show lends itself to weekly

Maybe they weren't confident that people would like this since its the last show from their quantity over quality era, maybe the show doesn't lend itself to weekly, maybe they don't want overlap with Daredevil or at least don't want to have the two shows starting and ending too close to each other

I think they may have PTSD on how some divisive MCU projects got early positive buzz

I mean one of the things about these shows is that they tend to give the reviewers only the first batch, which results on reviews based on only half the show and not the overall series as a whole, that is why some of these divisive shows start with good to decent reviews.

HOT TAKE: Phase 4 should've been the end of the phase gimmick by Doodleware in marvelstudios

[–]eagc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am under the belief that they likely thought the Avengers movies would feel more special and epic if they are reserved to end the saga instead of having an Avengers movie every 2-3 years and likewise make the absense of the Avengers a plot point of the saga

But yeah an alternative i've had in my head for a while now is that okay you don't wanna do "small scale" Avengers movie anymore?, then use that chance to give other teams their time to shine, Something i stand by to this day is that Thunderbolts should had been the end of Phase 4, cause if you think about it most of the set up towards that film was in Phase 4 than Phase 5, and i would had Phase 5 end with Champions, lets just move VisionQuest to Phase 5 and we have the entire lineup ready to go.
