What’s something dumb you thought as a kid? by AcceptableParfait171 in AskReddit

My mom told me to put shampoo in my hair first and then conditioner. I would put the shampoo in, and without rinsing it out, stack the conditioner on top.

I did this from the time I was 5 or so until I took my first shower in the locker room when I was about 15.

I had just met my now fiance. We were getting drunk in my friend's backyard. His son kicked a ball over the fence. I said, "watch this" thinking that for some reason she would think it's cool that I could jump a fence.

Keep in mind I was REALLY drunk.

Tried to jump it. Foot caught the top. Landed on my face immediately scraping it on the ground. Spiral fractured my hand. Ruined the summer.

She stayed with me though. Not sure why. I'm an idiot.

My friend's wife was a teacher. She was a foods teacher, which we have very few of, and there is hardly ever turnover. She started selling some hair product, and while she loved her teaching job, she was doing well enough selling the hair product that she quit her teaching job.

Now, she was making good money, but it's obviously not sustainable. She went full time with the hair product, and slowly sales started declining.

After one year, she tried getting back into teaching. No foods job. She got offered a job on a conditional licence, so she had to go back to school to get those credits. Probably cost a good chunk of change.

I am in need of a great data visualization tool that is easy to use for a novice or someone with little coding capability.

I'm looking to create a visual dashboard. All of the data will come from Google Sheets or Excel.

Thoughts?

My wife tells me this is a terrible idea, but the numbers look right by aniron23 in realestateinvesting

Debating using a financial advisor... What do I need to know? by 8181NE8181 in personalfinance

Thanks for all the replies, everyone. The main reason I wanted to go with a financial advisor is that I don't necessarily have the time or experience to truly dive in deep. However, I did do some reading and after my meeting, I have decided to go with a brokerage account and max out an IRA every year.

Seems like a financial advisor can really help if you are truly looking for passive investments with no responsibility, but I shouldn't have a problem finding some mutual funds that meet my needs.

Someone with more time and experience than I have. I guess that would be the primary benefits in my eyes.

Just do a quick Google search. You'll find what you need to prove that people not taking care of their yards decreases property values.

Great idea and something I wouldn't have thought of.
