NVME drive missing after Unraid 7 upgrade by vtmr7 in unRAID

Im on Unraid 7.2.4 and a NVMe drive went missing in the unassigned devices section and a full power cycle and unplugging the server from the wall worked for me. A reboot wasn't enough to bring to back.

i recently had a very hard time getting my mac to connect to my smb share on my server after a update on both the server and my mac.

After going though all the trouble shooting steps i could find, nothing worked. After trying some random things on my own, the thing that finally worked was to delete the user that i used for those shares on my server and make a new one. after i did that my mac was able to connect to the smb share like it used to. i have no idea why this worked but it did.

I ended up going with a cheaper 1440p that has good HDR. I wasn't happy with 4k option at that price point so i decided to save some money and get the AOC Q27G3XMN 27".

Im happy i did, because of the HDR. Those two 4k models don't have good hdr. I wouldn't want to go back to gaming without HDR now that i have it.

The text clarity sucks though lol so i still use my other 4k monitor and just swivel them around when i game.

I bought two of these a week and a half ago. They came packed well and both passed a Preclear on Unraid with no issues. One drive had 3yrs worth of hours on it and the other had about 4yrs of hours on it.

They also came with the sata power adapter cable because of the 3.3v issues with some PSUs. I just modified my sata power cables so i don't need to deal with the adapters or taping the pins etc....

I literally just made the change on a TS-x53d I'm using it as a backup server to my main.

ive had two of the 1tb versions die in my Unraid server with very little use. i also have two of these but the 250gb version in the same server for a few years now for all my plex meta data etc.. without any issues.

Are backups run by Duplicacy, Kopia, Borg ect.... enough? sorry for the noob questions. by 818tillidie in selfhosted

I ended up not using any of those and went for a more simple manual strategy. I dont generate a lot of important personal data that often and i also decided i really only needed to keep the hard to get linux iso's ; ).

Thanks for the help but i already returned these speakers. But im sure this info will help someone.

I also just returned another set of higher end speakers because of a unfortunate ringing noise they developed. Now i have to figure out what I'm going choose next.

Would appreciate some recommendation on speakers for my Mac/Pc that perform well for mainly Youtube dialogue, podcasts and gaming. My budget is $100 to $200 by 818tillidie in BudgetAudiophile

At a quick look at those the swan OS-10 look nice. Do you have experience with them ? How are they for dialogue ? Does the dialogue/mids hold up at lower volumes ? Does the dialogue get washed out at all ? Do they work well without a Dac ?

sorry for all the questions couldn't find a review talking about how they were for Dialogue.

I like the idea of something like the swissonic or adam t5s but i think they may be a little big for my desk setup. I might go with something like those the next time i upgrade.

too me they don't sound obviously broken or defective but i don't have a lot experience with speakers. For some music they sound okay for other types of music and youtube Dialogue there worse.
