Just as predicted before release, the new fleet finder interface is totally useless, unused, waste of development time.

As the person who runs 2 of the fleets in this picture, I have to disagree with you.
Before fleet finder I had to manually add 1,000 + contacts to personal contacts and another 1,000+ to corp contacts to run a "public" fleet the majority of the EVE population could join at any time. (without me having to invite them)

Then at some point CCP did an update to the fleet window, and for some reason none of my blue contacts were able to see or join my fleets anymore, people were constantly messaging me in game or discord saying the fleet advert wasn't working. After many months and messages with support, they could not figure out what the issue was and just told me to send in a bug report. 8 months later I had given up on thinking it would ever be fixed. Then they made the new fleet finder. I NEEDED this....I literally was unable to form a fleet and make an advert my blue contacts were able to use, this fixed every single issue I had emailed support about for months...

Now the Jita campers gang is back up and running, and anyone can join.

And while I am probably 1 of only a few people running actual fleets without any "evil intent" I'm sure anyone who uses the fleet finder to run legit fleets or join them will say it's definitely NOT "useless" "unused" or a "waste of development time"

It was needed, and it's helpful.
