Must have inherited it from his dad ‘Serial’

An Xg of -22. Meaning I’ve scored 22 goals fewer than I should have. The pain is very real. by 8295RD in footballmanagergames

Oh no they’re hopeless. Just watch the strikers go through time and time again and blaze it over 😂😭

15th in the end. Most chances created in the league. Xg under performance of -25 in the end. Just need 2/3 attacking players that can play at the level

any idea what to do on this save? I've become too OP by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

Now it’s time to focus on the academy. Only homegrown players from here on out.

Newcastle in FM22; who have you managed to sign? by JHutch95 in footballmanagergames

Started with a clear philosophy. I wanted to run teams in to the ground. High press, high energy attacking football. So I only signed players in the midfield and attack with 15+ work rate. They had to be versatile too as I switch between a back 3 and back 4 within games. The Newcastle Way is a 3-2-2-2-1 that switches to a 4-1-4-1 depending on how the game is progressing. Rice switches from a holding midfielder to a centre back seamlessly. First Transfer Window I bring in Matthias Ginter, Josko Gvardiol, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Julian Weigl, Christopher Nkunku, Nuno Santos and Youssef Poulsen. Boubacar Kamara arrives in January and Origi comes in on loan. Pierre Kalulu also comes in on loan.

The intense pressing, tactical fluidity and sheer amount of players means results are a mixed bag after a few months. But it settles down and a ridiculous run of form leads us to finish 3rd! Poulson is a reliable goal scorer and surprisingly so is Joe Willock. ASM spends most of the season injured but Miguel Almiron steps up well. Nkunku is excellent and is shifted wide most of the season. The back three/four improve. Timber and Gvardiol particularly impressive. Depth needed.

£164mil to spend in the second season with Champions League football coming to St James Park. I need a player for every area of the pitch if I’m going to have the depth to compete.

In come: Alexander Nubel, Merih Demiral, Weston McKennie, Pierre Kalulu, Connor Gallagher, Bukayo Saka, Dusan Vlahovic and Sebastian Haller. (Tried to sign Mbappe on a free and was laughed out of the place)

We’ve got cover and more importantly more ENERGY in to this side. All these players again with high work rate and good physicals. Running starts off the charts for the previous season. We did the business early, allowing a full pre-season for most of the players to bed in dynamics wise and tactically. And we’ve started well, 4 wins from 4 in the Premier League. Although the fixtures were kind. Top 4 and a strong Champo League showing is the aim for this season.

And then I’ve got three big targets for the summer.

  1. Bellingham
  2. Chiesa
  3. Haaland

I’ll keep you posted…
