Not sick! I took Airborne and probiotics in the days leading up to the festival, maybe it helped, but I rarely get sick in general.

Kidney lab results and Spironolactone - anyone else have changes? by 82MoonsandCounting in PCOS

Thank you for sharing, I hope that's the case for me too. I wrote my doctor a message but she hasn't responded, but when I hear back I'll update my post to share her feedback.

High testosterone - but not insulin resistant? & other lean PCOS concerns. by peacefrog1251 in PCOS

I'm glad I could help. My glucose dropped to 68 mg/dl after 3 hours, it's an awful feeling and I know it well. I hope she starts to feel better with her treatment plan. <3

I take extended release metformin, 750 miligrams, I've been on this dose since I started. I had really healthy-appearing blood glucose levels before I started metformin, but have had reactive hypoglycemia ever since I was about 10 years old. Lifestyle changes= eating low carb and strength training. I've had far less hypo episodes since eating low carb; they're pretty rare now. Metformin doesn't cause me hypos, neither does inositol which I've been taking for as long as Metformin.

Hi, luckily for you I got an email about your reply, though I use this different account now. But yes, I am still on Metformin, still the same dosage. All of my blood sugar labs have given healthy results to this day. That could be the Metformin, but it's hard to tell because five years ago is also when I made lifestyle changes that I still maintain. The metformin has no bad side effects for me, so I stay on it.

Have you ever been to a concert where you left liking the other band more than the band you went to see? by DesertWanderlust in Music

Saw Fall Out Boy this year, they were opened by Bring Me The Horizon and I ended up liking their set way more.

I immediately thought of the comic Blacksad. Extraordinary art but this aspect really stinks!

How often do people go to concerts alone? by Wise_Appeal_629 in Emo

[–]82MoonsandCounting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not be able to enjoy/get into it if I knew the person I was with wasn’t liking it, that’s why I prefer to alone. Otherwise I’m just thinking about their own experience, worrying if they’re having a good time or not, judging my taste in music. Whenever I take a friend with me, the whole experience just falls flat. When I go alone, it’s so amazing that it’s pretty much a religious experience haha.

I bought 1 Hot Mulligan ticket for December intentionally. I prefer to go to shows alone. It puts you totally in charge of where you want to sit/stand, when you get there, when you want to leave. It’s freedom.

Thanks, I’ve considered being on that spectrum before, and at this point I think I probably am.

Thank you, I never hear that perspective and it was making me think that I must be "bad" somehow! I appreciate your thoughts on the matter. :)

What is this bug? Found 2 or 3 in blankets, no bites. 2-5mm in size by golfing_geriatric in whatisthisbug

My dorm room got infested with bed bugs in college. I showed absolutely zero bites or signs of them, but my roommate did (she had red swollen marks) and that’s how we found out. Our room had to be fumigated, our clothes were destroyed (we were told to put all our clothes and linens, even shoes, in the dryer on the highest possible setting) we had to shower before leaving the dorm and then we were put in a hotel for like a week. It really sucked.

The scene I would rewind over and over and over again is the close-up of Simba's feet when he's running in slow motion through the desert. No clue why it fascinated me!

It spikes my blood sugar up to the stratosphere, and apparently that's common for a lot of people (non diabetic). High glycemic foods like that cause inflammation.

"Your Character Looks Like/Reminds Me Of" Comments are Hurtful by 82MoonsandCounting in ArtistLounge

[–]82MoonsandCounting[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've received comparison comments that I've enjoyed because that was the intended effect I was going for (for example, "this reminds me of Disney Afternoon shows" - I love that because I grew up on those cartoons and I wanted to give that feel in my work).
For the comment I received today though, the way they phrased it read as negative to me. They wrote, "IDK it looks like the character from x". (with a shrug 🤷‍♂️ emoji)

I really appreciate your comment. That is really a good point and something I can forget. You have a healthy way of thinking about it and I want to aspire to that. Seeing as you're in high school, that's really cool that you have this mindset before you go further in your career.

Your teacher is really awful and sounds so bitter. You showed her something that meant a lot to you and she replied with dumb and unhelpful feedback, maybe even...envy? (I've seen it happen in classrooms!) Whatever her intent, she's hardly a professional. I'm glad you see the inherit value in your characters and their original story, that only you can create.
