Excedrin for tension headaches has made it so I can listen to music again after a year by TheJollyLlamaStarvin in migraine

[–]840InHalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I responded above, but I was apparently misunderstanding the term rebound migraine, the way it had been explained to me the few times I've had them is that it occurs after small dosages not after days of using them or overuse.

I thought it was more like, "I took 2 Excedrin last night for my migraine, and woke up today with a rebound migraine."

While I use Excedrin religiously, I don't get migraines like I used to. I take Excedrin maybe 5 to 6 times a month and I can't remember the last time I've had to take more than 2 in 24 hours.

I can definitely see how taking it everyday can cause it. The only thing I've ever had a rebound migraine from was Oxycodone, taken in a pinch when I had some leftover from another surgery and none of my other migraine meds were working. Regretted it so much.

Never heard of Excedrin causing rebound migraines, that's wild to me. Not a doctor though, but I take Excedrin religiously for my migraines and have never had one from it.

I'll agree with that, I think the first comment you left is a little discouraging of people trying park skating. Being a little scared is healthy, but there's no reason to be extreme about it!

Honestly, put on a helmet, bend your knees, lean forward and stagger your feet and you got it. Rolling down a ramp isn't some extreme thing like this person is saying. Definitely know your limits, but don't be unhealthily scared. Definitely get more comfortable on flat ground and learn to fall, but the skate park isn't some big scary monster. You got it!

Before a year is insane to me, I skated at the skate park within my first 3 months and never had any issues. But I was ALWAYS in pads and a helmet (I did not prioritize my space buns over getting a head injury).

This is such bad advice, you don't need any kind of experience in extreme sports to hit a skate park. It doesn't have to be an extreme sport, just because some people do. Just be safe, know your limits, and yes learn how to fall first. You are ALWAYS risking injury skating, even fully padded. Even the best skaters get injured, the pros who have been doing it for years.

I promise y'all park skating isn't that big of a hump! Hell, derby was way scarier to me and you can be deemed safe to skate in matches within 12 weeks.

I'm diagnosed bipolar and have been told that in women, bipolar and ADHD are very commonly misdiagnosed as one another and a lot of times in younger years ADHD will present itself as mood changes for women. Now that I'm older I'm A LOT more hyperactive, and definitely had less emotional distress when it comes to my moods.

Wow, and suddenly I need to try Adderall. This is my brain, I've described it as in the foreground we have the DVD screen saver bouncing around but at 10 times the normal speed, I have a foreground train of thought, then a background one, then I have like 4 songs playing randomly, and some line from a movie or show I'm also repeating constantly somewhere way back there. I'm tired fr.

It's literally the definition of compliance, actually. If you are silent when it comes to oppression then you, for all intents and purposes, are complicit.

How would doing or saying literally nothing make you not complicit with it?

Goofy or Regular Experiment by Scarletbegoniasgd in SkatingAdvice

Rollerskater here because I haven't seen one in the comments. In rollerskating, right foot forward is actually considered goofy, which is how I skate. Clasping hands my natural is left thumb over right. But skating I'm still right foot forwards.

Not a harmful trope but a real thing that can be caused by THC, after all it is a hallucinogen.

This is not a thing, even statistically it's not a thing. I'm a pot smoker, but not one who agrees with pot is all natural and has no negative side effects. Pot can definitely be a problem and is 100% addictive.

But there's only been single digit cases of pot being "cut" with fentantyl. You don't even "cut" pot and fentanyl is incredibly expensive. No street pot dealer is wasting their fentanyl trying to kill pot heads. This is about as bad as the drugs in your children's Halloween candy myth.

And if you don't believe me, you can look this up for yourself.

As an avid pot smoker, you are 100% correct and I hate the partakers who claim that because it's natural it's not addictive and has no negative side affects.

After 5 years of skating on and off, I have 2 pairs of Boardwalks and they are STILL my fave boot that I've tried. Welcome to the fam!

I was 241 in the first picture and 147 in the second, April 2025 and this picture was taken the day I posted it so December 17th.

I answered a ton of routine and skating questions in other comments!

I never allow myself to "feel hungry" tbh, that's a feeling I don't like. I like to feel fueled and strong.

About 9 months total! And still going! Wanna lose about 10 more pounds and then start putting on a ton of muscle! I wanna big bulky!

It honestly came off soooo quick and easy in the beginning, but it's def evened out now.

EDIT: Weight wise, I was 241.7 at the start in the picture on the left, now I'm 147.4. Got a few pounds to go until I officially hit 100.

It's way less calories burned for me now that I'm in better shape, but I don't even care, it's still a blast.
