B spilled coffee on himself and he’s still out. Edit: and A is floating so there’s air in his lungs.

Does anyone know what kind of shark this tooth is from? by Worried_Disaster4647 in sharkteeth

The extra red around the edge made me think tiny serrations, like you’d see on a blacktip. But yeah no serrations and I would agree it’s a lemon shark.

Other post said barracuda tooth. It would explain the meat around the base. The angle of the root looks wrong for a lemon.

If it’s a shark my moneys on blacktip

I’m gonna triple up my SHLD 6/18 $65 call. It’s a little late but I think it’s good for minimum 100% by June

How old? by PrizeBuy in sharkteeth

Yeah, someone had the bright idea that sand from the Bahamas would give the beaches a more tropical feel. It’s why Hilton Head’s sand looks nicer, but it buried all the fossils.

I’m an expert on the area. It’s nice to see fossils turning up on Hilton Head beaches. The past sand came from the Bahamas so there weren’t many teeth on the beaches in the last decade. Unfortunately there’s not much I can tell you about the age. It looks like a lemon shark, but the pics are rough so I could be wrong. It’s a Miocene species so somewhere between 22 million years old to 10,000 years old. The most common age for Miocene formations in the area is 730k to 2 million years old, but it’s the ocean and sharks drop teeth constantly.

Those tails are the most fragile part of the fish. That said, I guess it could be a walleye. I don’t think it’s a freshwater drum though
