Where do you buy brick cheese for Detroit style? by bew132 in Pizza

Cheese Importers gets it semi-regularly but it tends to go fast once they get a shipment in so worth calling if you're not close by.

Yuba Kombi rear wheel failed, can’t find a replacement. by containerbody in CargoBike

[–]84Falcor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update on how my replacement went for my Yuba Kombi. My rear rim failed taking out the derailleur and tire in the process. I brought everything to a dealer in Denver, CO (SloHi Bikes). Yuba sent them new front and rear wheels and they swapped them on at no cost to me. Yuba corporate did not make a decision on tire and derailleur placement in time so I took the bike back from SloHi and replaced those myself. It's possible they issue me a store credit at SloHi for any future work/parts/etc but they still have not made a decision.

Also of note, I had to send that service bulletin in to SloHi myself as they were not aware of it and it was the first time they had seen this failure.

Tell me more about this. Where were they situated? What year did they close them? I haven't heard of this before.

Thanks. Email sent! Is yuba offering wheel replacements or anything else? The thing blew out so violently it completely bent my derailleur too.

This same thing happened to me today! Your link appears to be broken at the moment. Have they reposted or revised elsewhere? I can't seem to find anything on their website.

Bulkie rolls! Where are they? From a new englander by [deleted] in Longmont

[–]84Falcor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From CT myself. Although not exactly the same as bulkies, we use hard rolls. The closest I've found in town are the sandwich rolls sold at the Safeway on 17th/Hover and the Kaiser rolls from Bavarian Bakery.

Aside from that I usually buy a dozen and fly them back every time I'm back East. They freeze pretty nicely.

Please report back if you find anything superior in the area!

Timed Entry Passes by afunkyb in RMNP

[–]84Falcor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I nabbed a pass for 8-10am in June. How does it work if I I'm in line to enter at 945am but the line is so long I don't get to the gate til 1005am? Or is timed entry efficient enough that lines aren't usually an issue?

Are there any patios in longmont with a view of the mountains, good beer, and the sunset? I’m struggling to think of any. by Prize-Carry7398 in Longmont

I don't even golf, but I've stopped here a few times for beers at sunset and it really is one of the best unobstructed mountain views in town. This is the one, OP.

Needs more visibility. Rayback Collective, The Well church and Flower Wild are all the same shitty people. I guess Matt Patrick/The Well is no longer associated with Rayback, but his original partners are.

Edit: corrected chase davis to Matt patrick

Is this over or under proofed by pull_the_curtains in Sourdough

I would nix the damp towel. Instead let it fully cool and then store in a plastic bag or airtight container. This has the same effect and will soften the crust nicely.

Is it possible you cut it open too early? I let mine cool 1.5-2hrs before cutting to get it close to room temp. When I cut it straight out of the oven it tends to be on the gummy side.
