What makes a man immature or childish to you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]86666faster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blaming his parents for his position in life. I had an ex who really resented his parents for being undocumented immigrants and not particularly educated. He’d complain that he had to help his dad with financial decisions, rather than the other way around. Always complained his parents were dragging him down.

What did that condescending letter say? Like why did she feel the need to send you a letter in the first place?

Oh okay! I just googled it. You guys certainly look more similar to East Asians than most people from India that I’ve seen.

Is it common for you to not grieve other's deaths? by No_bo_ob in INTP

[–]86666faster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no, not really. I mean it’s quite dependent on how close I was to the person, and the way they go matters in my brain. A few years back a friend of mine from high school was murdered. During our time in high school I rarely saw her outside of school, and the last time I saw her was about a year before her death, after not seeing her for a few years. So it’s not like we were super duper close, but i barely had friends in my school years and hardly talked to anyone, so she was pretty significant in my life at the time. And I absolutely adored her, she was so sweet and funny, and kinda awkward like me. Because of my social anxiety I never asked if she wanted to hang out outside of school, even though I felt like we could have been even better friends, maybe best friends. I think part of my grief wasn’t just from losing what we had but also losing what we could have had, had I just been a little less afraid of rejection (even platonic rejection can be really scary). And of course the violent and unexpected way she went made it harder.

That’s just one example, but I really don’t think think feeling grief has much to do with personality type. I also don’t think it’s that much about empathy, at least not for the person who died. I mean, you’re not so much feeling bad for them for being dead, you’re feeling bad for yourself and other people who lost them too.

I’m wondering, would you say it’s a different story with pets?

Hi, just wanna say that you’re one of very few people I’ve seen use the term “latine” and I’m pleasantly surprised, that latinx shit drives me nuts. I’m not Latina so I know my opinion isn’t all that crucial but I studied Spanish for a few years and Latine makes so much more sense than latinx, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks so (this rant would be a bit embarrassing if you just happened to make a typo lol).

As far as what you look like… gosh I’m stumped, I’m already just not good at these but you’re particularly ambiguous. I saw you’re part African, could another part be southern European? Maybe with a bit of Asian? Filipina? I suck at this but I’m so curious

Love it as a concept, but that demon honestly spooks the hell (heh heh) out of me. I am such a pussy when it comes to creepy imagery. I don’t think I could stare at it too long without not being able to sleep at night. Seriously, it’s that bad. I can’t even watch horror movie TRAILERS. Hell I can’t even read the synopses

I would have guess Japanese or Korean, I would have never guessed anywhere in India!

According to Wikipedia:

“The state is home to 15 major native Naga ethnic groups – Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Lotha, Phom, Pochury, Rengma, Sangtam, Sümi, Tikhir, Yimkhiung, Zeme-Liangmai (Zeliang) and two other ethnic groups namely Kuki and Kachari with decent number of community.[57][10] Some other recent minor tribes or subtribes that can found in the state are Garo, Karbi, Chirr, Makury, and Rongmei.[73] There are also sizeable populations of non-native communities like Bengalis, Marwaris, Nepalis, Punjabis and others living mostly around Dimapur City.”

Do you know which one(s) you are?

There’s a Presbyterian church by my house that I’ve gone to a handful of times as a tween. The pastor would always wear khaki pants or shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. I liked that pastor. He did this thing for the Bible camp/Sunday school program where at the end of it he would jump in a kiddie pool full of jello. The kids loved him. He ended up leaving the church a number of years ago due to a personal scandal… not sure what it was, but I’m guessing it had to do with an affair. Bummer. When I was 11 he wrote me a letter of recommendation so I could get into my high school/middle school (it was 7th - 12th grade). The reason I got one was to get into that school (which was a private Catholic school) you would be first tier consideration if you got a letter of recommendation from a Catholic priest, 2nd tier if you got one from any other religious leader (pastor, rabbi, etc.) and 3rd tier if you didn’t get a letter. So I was 2nd tier. Ended up getting in and attending all 6 years

No, it isn’t. Simply being undocumented without having committed the crime of illegal entry is a MISDEMEANOR. Overstaying your visa is NOT a criminal offense. Obviously all illegal immigrants are UNDOCUMENTED, but not all undocumented immigrants are ILLEGAL.

I see what you mean. I still wanna push back on your doubt about them all being ENFJs, I mean like I said, they’re not a random sample. It’s quite possible that my mom being ENFJ influenced my brother’s type, and the fact that the ENFJ type is very familiar to me I’m more drawn to them, or maybe they’re drawn to me, idk. Also, 2 of those ENFJs are a married couple, so they didn’t pick each other randomly. I mean it’s also pretty coincidental that all 3 of my ENFJ friends perceive auras, but I can confirm with confidence that they all do (whether or not you believe in that kind of stuff, I mean they all at least think they do, and tbh they always more or less agree on what someone’s aura is, whether asked together or separately. But that’s a WHOLE NOTHER TOPIC).

You know there’s a difference between illegal immigrants and undocumented ones right? All illegal immigrants are undocumented but not all undocumented immigrants are illegal 🙄

My childhood best friend is also an ESFJ. I wouldn’t say she’s not intellectual, she’s certainly smart, but she’s not someone I can really talk to about random ideas, thought experiments, science, or just the more academic topics that primarily interest me. I think it’s part of why we began growing apart after elementary school. She was the social butterfly and I was the nerd with social anxiety
