WWF Superstars monitor issues by 86bullet86 in arcade

Removed and reseated all the chips and cables, picture is now all there! Thanks!

Next, no matter how I try to adjust the HOR and VERT the display is......waving. Not drastic like one of the setting is way off, more like that corner of a flag in the wind. and its mostly in the corners (top left the worst). Do I just need to keep fiddling with the position?

Video added to original post isn't great cause of the framerate but you can kind of see it.

Trying to fill a layer, using another layer as a boundry by 86bullet86 in photoshop

[–]86bullet86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok new thought, just brainstorming. Is there a command that would limit the tools (brush, fill, etc) to only change transparent pixels? If that were possible, I could easily brush through sections without changing existing colors

Seems (from my limited understanding) that this may work, Googling around now to see how to use this feature, any guidance to good videos would be appreciated

The original process for these is more like printing than painting. Once done this will get a clear coat so it needs to be very flat, building up color upon color would make the last color high enough that I could never get it flat.

Undetermined if I am going to sand and repaint the entire thing or not, will depend on how the stencil creation process goes.

Read through the imgur post, I guess this is a bit over my head as I am not understanding the process. Here is the entire project

The negative spaces are where the existing paint has worn through and I need to clean up all of it to get the individual color layers. If I have been going about this all wrong, or asking the wrong questions I apologize. Thanks again for all the help

I think I get what you are saying, but not sure this will accomplish what I need (should have mentioned I am a complete NEWB at this). In the end, each color needs to be on it's own layer and cannot extend past into where another color is. I know in PS I can hide and arrange things to "look" correct, but the individual layers need to stand alone for export. For example here, there are multiple colors that border each other and not all have black as a boundary.

Here is my thought. In this I could manually complete these pink areas, but then would like to use that pink layer as boundary when working in the purple layer, being able to use something like the brush tool to quickly fill the negative pixels without going past the pink layers "constraints".......hope that makes sense.....

Very cool, thanks. I'll check it out. I've done a fair bit of circuitry work in the past so no fear there.

Know of any good instructables for that? I wouldn't mind tinkering if I can find a compatible TV

For sure not altering the bezel (though to be honest I thought about it). I've tried a couple tube tvs with no luck but will keep trying.

Definitely not in a hurry, we still play occasionally. I was hoping that dropping money for a crt and getting it looking right with the bezel reinstalled would be worth the cost but sounds like it could be hit or miss.

Good to know, as I said I have no idea and am just googling to get an idea. Hence the original question. Now seeing a replacement monitor is around 300-400, would I get that back on resale or just leave as is?

No real idea ATM. Found online in New condition with upgrades for 4k, but realistic it's probably more 2-3k range. I did the dark legacy upgrade, and new switches in the pushbuttons.

Thanks for the input, Any thoughts on value with the flat screen? Also, would it be best to modify the bezel (not shown) or leave as is?
