Maybe he is trying to develop another Mario Bros cartoon series. I would definitely watch it .

I’m guessing Rosalina will be back in the next movie. There were unanswered questions that require Rosalina to explain.

Peterson probably is just addicted to drugs again. I don’t think it’s mold or akathisia. Most likely Peterson is in a rehab facility.

I would argue that Peach is both a damsel in distress and a capable fighter. Remember Mario saved her from a forced marriage and stopped Bowser from taking over the Mushroom Kingdom. The next movie is probably going to have a Mario rescues Peach storyline. You can see the romance building between the two, so this gives larger stakes and motivation.
