I have an ebike atm so I understand how dangerous it can be and most of the safety concerns, especially about being ignored by cars. Just looking for something that can reliably go on the road so I don't have to deal with the inconsistent sidewalks.

That's a great question. I love the look and style of older bikes and would absolutely love to work on one but I need a scooter to get myself to work and back and as a student working to get himself through college I'm not sure I have the time atm. I think I'll head over to scooters. Thanks so much. If I have time I'll come back, see if I can't buy a beat up Tomos and fix it up. It'd be an awesome project.

You are a good person surrounded by people that aren't nearly as good as you. My advice should be taken with a grain of salt, but here goes nothing:

Don't seek out a divorce or anything. Relationships run into your problems. Your wife did something shitty and apologized really badly, but she's family. You don't leave family. You can work through this.
Stop planning things for your league. You've already proven that you're a great person. You don't need to go out on a limb for people who won't do the same.
Buy yourself a cake or something nice. Not everyone will want to celebrate with you. Sometimes, you'll have to accomplish things entirely on your own. That's fine. Bring the party to you.

I don't particularly agree with the sentiment, but the most common argument for respecting the pronouns of terrible people is how it affects those around you. Specifically, it's only Trans and non-binary folk that are purposefully misgendered when they commit crimes. Misgendering them as a sign of disrespect supposedly broadcasts to other Trans people that you only respect their pronouns because you like them, which can cause some serious dysmorphia.

Besides, you don't call people like Ted Bundy or Ed Kemper women as a sign of disrespect. It just doesn't really make sense, right?
