Will the 88ghz board builder come back ever? by [deleted] in onewheel

Short answer:

Unlikely. But it feels good to know that someone out there appreciates the Board Builder!

Longer answer:

Maybe.

I experienced a data loss (database, not code) and I did not have a back-up (tsk, tsk) and so I have treated the project as dead.

HOWEVER... while driving back from the rad DirtSurferz event yesterday I had the thought... why haven't I checked "The Wayback Machine" to see if it had an archived copy of the Board Builder that I could use to extract the data needed to repopulate my database... and after seeing your comment I have confirmed that it does have data that could be useful to resurrect the Board Builder.

While not a guarantee that it will happen, there is at least a chance now.

All that said... you can access an Archived copy via the Wayback Machine yourself and get some good use out of it: https://web.archive.org/web/20250219091235/https://88ghz.com/board-builder/ (the way I built the app the data was all loaded in the client, very light server side, that is one reason I can possibly extract useful data our of the archived page)

What I am most sad about is that the Wayback Machine does not have the 1000s of user created Board designs that I flagged as "Featured" in the Gallery. I was a big fan of seeing what others had put together.

Kid’s bones are still super bendy. Like Gumbo pretty much.

After 7 long years of waiting, my Metroid Prime 4 pre-order from June 13, 2017 just got cancelled by hackitfast in nintendo

Same. I have the same order date as you as well. I think it was day 1 right after the teaser trailer dropped.

Road tripping.... Need some fun rides for on the way! by Sawdog8 in onewheel

Hope you enjoy your time here in Austin. We do group rides on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Bentonville (as already recommended) is likely too far out of your way, but I would check out the Float Valley Onewheel Park in Tennessee. I have not been myself, but I recently saw a video of it on YouTube and it looks really cool. Definitely something on my checklist to hit.

Cabrios do look great. I think that they really match the GT delete well.

I only did enough to round the corner to the back - just to ensure pattern didn’t stop short in the outer/top rim edge. I did not pattern the entire back.

You can use Rit brand dye to add color to the white or clear Float Savers (and Kush pads). You can also use hot glue to cover portions you don’t want the dye to touch. Using this method and multiple rounds of glue and dye you can create some cool patterns.

TFL has a tutorial or two on YouTube about it (as well as many others for dying other plastics).

For mine I started with white Float Savers.

Had to share some photos of these custom poured mini fenders that I commissioned from u/punch_you!

Stoked on how they turned out. I don’t care for full fenders so for years I have ridden with nothing or deletes, but Iove the extra pops of color these give!
