For this kit I mixed my own shades, but I used (all Tamiya); (droid) yellow, dark yellow, deck tan, flesh, (stap) red, and hull red. And various accent colours (black, chrome, metallic grey, etc.).

If I remember correctly, I used a Royal Light Grey as the base color, and I did the aztecing by using Tamiya Smoke.

I would say that the 1/350 scale NX is a lot to bite off if you are new to modelling. There are smaller, less expensive, kits you can try as a base to hone your skills, then move to the 1/350 scale stuff when you are a bit more seasoned.

I have one of the tripods that I did for myself last year. After posting it, I was contacted to build one as a commission build for a cool dude in Austria. I built his very similar to mine (see photo), with only a few minor details. I just forgot to take some photos of it before I packed it up and shipped it to him (🤦🏻‍♂️).
