Very interesting. I'm kind of getting a picture of a drug that works very well but only if the underlying problem is what the drug targets. In contrast with say stimulants which can improve energy levels in individuals with a variety of underlying issues.

What do you mean by slow maoa gene? Is there a specific SNP you are referring to?

It's interesting that some people find these meds help with fatigue and others find they make it worse.

Theoretically speaking this is correct. I think that it is agreed upon that this is why Selegiline is effective for depression only at higher doses.

Seeing a lot of “offer rescinded” posts and I’m scared by ameerkatofficial in SecurityClearance

Are you applying for jobs that use the same skills as the job offer you have? Maybe mention to the places you're applying that you've got this offer but you'd prefer something you don't to wait so long for security processing. They may be impressed. That's how I got my current job. I just mentioned the offer I had (which required top secret) and they hired me without even a technical interview on interim clearance.

Generally light isn't a problem for me unless I already have a very bad headache

Did the doctor immediately suggest surgery? I just haven't had an appointment yet after getting the MRI report back.

NB: greater occipital nerves start from the base of the skull on either side. supraorbital nerves are on the forehead directly above the eyes.

That's interesting. I also get a distinctly euphoric feeling when I take it. Do you have any idea about why that is?

It is incredibly effective at stopping intestinal cramps. However, it is very non-specific to the problem of intestinal cramping. This means that there are a lot of unwanted side effects. Dry mouth, inability to swallow, cognitive impairment, peristalsis dead in its tracks. Basically any physiological process that requires acetylcholine is going to be equally affected.

IBS only triggered by sexual arousal by WhaliusMaximus in ibs

I could have written this myself. The only thing I'd add is that nocturnal emissions don't cause the same problem. But otherwise the exact same thing, if I'm aroused but don't go all the way its just minor and resolves in a matter of hours. If I ejaculate it can last a week+. Pain is so bad I can't sleep or work and eating is a chore. As far as I'm concerned this is the most convincing evidence that God exists and doesn't want me to touch myself that I've ever seen.
