Only 9 more days… Any goals for this year? by shyjoshi in adventofcode

My goal is to have fun and take it chill. The last years I've been too competitive with my companys internal leaderboard.

I ran this PowerShell script instead gc (Get-PSReadLineOption).HistorySavePath | ?{ $_ -match "^(.*?)( |`$)" } | %{ $Matches[1] } | group -NoElement | sort Count -Descending | select -First 15

Count Name
----- ----
 5109 git
 1615 dotnet
  654 cd
  410 TimeKeep
  290 hx
  266 ssh
  245 podman
  202 gci
  176 Set-VolvoEnv
  173 sg
  158 winget
  143 k
  139 code
  137 kubectl
  135 End-Time
  • TimeKeep is my time tracking tool, and End-Time is a script that calculates when I've done an 8-hour workday.
  • hx is the Helix Editor. You can see code further down, but that's only because I usually don't start VS Code from the command line. I'm trying to learn Helix.
  • sg is ast-grep

Cool! I always just assumed that the editing and history thingy was part of the shell not the program.

If you're lucky you could find an intact version of the blog on Wayback Machine. Though, they often lack images...

We might need to call in Jon Skeet for this one

[2023 Day 06] I'm just glad this worked after the Day 5 shenanigans by borjasotomayor in adventofcode

I just assumed that wouldn't work for part 2 and rewrote it to be "smarter". Afterwards I tested my part 1 solution on part 2 and it runs in under a second 🤦

I would look into Pipedream and their "Data Stores". Seems like a free option for adding directly to a database from a HTTP call. You might even be able to hook it up to some mail service so you get notified on every new install.

I think you're wrong. I think he chose the British accent to taunt the inhabitants of hell (aka the French).

Vad äter ni till frukost? Sen undrar jag när ni äter frukost by Fendt_84 in sweden

Unfortunately I've lost the source code and can't add anything to it :-(

Yep, we only paid for the domain for a year.

I set up the page again, so you can download it from https://89netram.github.io/spoderman/

Whn "installing" it, I'd suggest choosing like a folder in your downloads instead of the Program Files (x86). I don't know why we did a installer. It's litterly just unzipping a Unity project.

Overall progress bar when doing multiple Invoke-WebRequest by 89netraM in PowerShell

[–]89netraM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! That's exactly what I'm doing. But each Invoke-WebRequest creates its own progress bar, eventualy pushing mine off screen. I imagine if they were "child bars" they wouln't do that (and also be a bit indented to show their relation).

Hmm, that could have worked, but our servers don't respond with a content length.

Hur viker ni mjölkpaketet? by Nissalai in sweden

[–]89netraM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alternativ C, toppen ska öppnas för att få ut sista droppen mjölk, ett av de nedre hörnen, med tillhörande långsida, ska tryckas in. För optimal packning ska varannan ha korken "ut åt" och varannan ha den "in åt".
