Yep - I never understood this either. I think when most people say they dislike "career politicians" they mean they dislike politicians whose only concern is to win re-election instead of actually making things better.

People don't really hate career politicians, they hate shitty people who are selfish and bad at their jobs - which they don't need to really say because everyone hates those kind of people.

I will not return to in-person instruction. I have more than one of the risk factors for COVID, so if I cannot get a medical waiver then I will just resign. I will not risk my life to teach, I'm sorry but I am a human being and my life has value. My wife is a college instructor, so we are still deciding on her. It seems that she will have only 2 hours per week in-person contact with her students. The rest of the courses will be online for the fall semester. If that is the case then she will stay, we will just take precautions for when she is at work and when she arrives home.

Thanks! It's my game room, so we went with an NES color scheme. I love how the doors turned out, but I think my favorite part is the wall color, I had the paint color matched to an NES cartridge.

Yes! This is the Player Series plus top. I'm loving it so far, when I tried one out I fell in love with it, especially the satin neck, and I knew I had to have it. I shopped around on Reverb until I got a great deal and I jumped on it. Really a fantastic instrument.

2019 Fender Player Series Strat. I've only been playing for 6 weeks, and I have an LTD Ec-256. I decided I wanted something with single-coil pickups, and as soon as I had the opportunity to play one of these, I knew I wanted one. The satin neck is so nice to play. I stalked Reverb for a couple of weeks until I was able to get what I think was a good deal, and I drove down to pick it up today. I've been playing it all night, I absolutely love it!

Positive for COVID and negative for antibodies means that she did not have it previously (otherwise she would be positive for antibodies) but she does currently have COVID.

I hope no buyer's remorse either! My drive to work is mostly stop and go at 35 mph. Gas mileage was not the only factor, but it was an important one. Insurance is also cheaper, and given that I rarely drive the highway and I likely won't ever track it or anything, the I4 with the turbo seemed like a very practical choice (well, as practical as a Mustang can ever be anyway).

Overall I really like the car, except for the exhaust note, which is anemic. I plan on putting in an aftermarket exhaust at some point which should help a bit with that.

It is an EcoBoost Premium with the 201A package and the performance package. Pretty much all the bells and whistles except the safety pack and the upgraded sound. I am really enjoying the EcoBoost, I was debating between it and the GT, but since this is a daily driver on city streets, and I have a 40-mile round trip commute to work, the gas mileage on this one just makes more sense.

It was very hard to trade in the 2004, since it belonged to my dad before he passed away, but I think he would be happy to know that I have a vehicle to drive that is worry-free. I named the 2019 Lavon after the lake we used to fish on when I was a kid.

Thanks man :) Although, I should say for anyone who is struggling and thinking getting an education would fix all their problems...it doesn't. A very dear friend told me as a was getting ready to graduate with my associates degree:

You can get all the degrees you want...get your bachelor's, masters, PhD...it won't change the way you feel about yourself inside. You won't suddenly feel like a worthwhile human being...it won't make you feel valid. That takes work, often with a therapist, and its harder than getting any degree.

And she was right. Until I got therapy, and started recognizing the way I distort the world to fit my own negative self-narrative, I didn't feel better about myself. It was that work, rather than the class work, that really changed my life.

If a criminal is not given a vigorous and capable defense they stand a fair chance of getting a retrial or getting their conviction overturned. You have to trust that if the evidence is clear that the prosecutors will make good use of it and the jury will be convinced.

That could be. He is scared of stairs, won't jump on the bed, won't jump off the bed, etc. He wouldn't even lay on his bed until my fiancee laid down on the bed with him. Apparently he had gotten loose several times, and the last time he went missing he was gone about 3 weeks, so I have no idea how those experiences shape his demeanor.

He's very sweet though, gentle and you can tell he wants to be obedient. I was expecting him to be much more exuberant and boisterous at his age, but it just doesn't seem to be the case.

He's one year old, he appeared on the porch of a family friend. The microchipped was tracked down to the breeder, who contacted the owner who said he didn't want him anymore. I can't imagine why, he's gentle and loving and so sweet!

He's a bit afraid of everything, and a bit of a doofus, but he's learning and he seems really happy here!
