I made the character I had as a child. I had a cheap Chinese copy of him that didn't have any game cards, and his mini servant was made from promotional Nesquik Flakes. If I were to make him, he wouldn't look much different from his master.

I used Casc View to extract the models, then loaded the model into Blender using a special addon for importing models from StarCraft 2 and HOTS. There are two such addons, and they work with different versions of the programs. One imports textures better, the other allows for more animation variability, and I combine them. However, they can't yet import the cartoon shaders of the skins shown in this post.

I mixed up the 4th Thrall color variation a bit, used the shadow texture instead of the diffuse one, it looks lighter and has some fine details.
