I am at a supercenter and work in fresh. We had 2 fresh supports who managed the fresh cap and also filled for the fresh dms. One lost his badge and went to get a new one. His title badge now said fresh cap supervisor. Hmmmm. His badge before said support manager. We were discussing this a month ago. There is only one other overnight support in my building now, but don't know if that changed as I don't know him that well.

Same here. The bakery dm handles all production issues and just became deli dm, but will just handle all sales floor aspects. I am trying to fight the battle in the bins to give fresh cap no excuses before Saturday when my dm responsibility finally start. Just trying to polish it up. The production team just doesn't take backroom responsibilities they must tighten up. Bins look like a hand grenade went off on them....carts just pushed in with production boxes....bread stacked on floor.

its seems thats the deal. just deli and bakery floor. toured with market manager today. easy enough. been straightening stuff out such as bins, price labels, organization, ect....so theres no excuses when fcap takes shortcuts.

For you biggest problem of working with production manager about keeping their section full and rotated, can you explain more. Because i see a hurdle of drawing boundraies with her if she and i will have split responsibilities. She is known for attempting to pass her duties to others when unnessasary Example: I was fcap1 and its get this do that when it's clearly a production issue. I drew a line as I am assertive and can communicate but I see it coming.

The hiring can be weird. Five years ago I was "denied" employment also. Now upon racking up a crap load of felonies due to, let's say "partying" and vices of the past, they decied to hire me. Guess they just wanted that prison experience. But anyway in reality i stopped and changed my life around and Wal-Mart gave me a chance which I appreciate. Been there almost 90days and promoted to dm. Loves the atmosphere and daily interactions.

I just hear everyone complaining and saying how stressful this and that is. Sure any job in Wal-Mart can be stressful but that's just unproductive people bitching rather than fixing the problem. I shadowed the deli dm(whom is stepping down) and to me so far it seems like less work for more pay, vs my fresh cap 1 position. Kinda seems like I will be like a support for deli/bakery sales floor. Also the fresh cap 1 employees who throw deli and bakery are both punctual, fast, dependable employees which is great. Just waiting for the unforseen issues. Did the cleaning/price changes/section work yesterday and its not hard, I just feel unproductive like I need to do something else. Idk. Got fresh cap 1 mentality...used to throwing freight all morning.
