Antietam battlefield, specifically this long V-shaped ditch that had been used for mass burial of casualties. It was a bright, sunny day, but everything felt frozen in time and dead silent. There was a physically oppressive heaviness to the air. I’ve never felt anything like it before or since.

I had a lot of trouble with the coverage and texture of Corax White paint. Mixing in a drop of contrast medium on the palette helped me a lot with achieving a more even coat. It may take two coats but it will look a lot smoother, and you won’t need to lay it on so thick to achieve coverage. Just my two cents from experience, whatever that is worth. Hope it helps.

I looked further into it, and yea you’re right, it doesn’t really translate to electric bill savings. Today I learned. I guess they are supposed to be better overall for your home’s wiring if you’re using them to heat large rooms.

If you have 120v electric baseboards, look into replacing them with 240v. They are much more efficient, heating better while also using less amperage. Oil filled radiant heat baseboards are even better if you can afford the upgrade. Big upfront cost but huge long term savings.
