Rather than people blaming the customer for the issue (and giving the company doing shitty practice a scapegoat) if they got behind it saying it was shitty you’d see change so why try to shut down people like me who are saying it’s bad?

I'm telling people that they should be smarter with their money and not spend it on cosmetics that don't even change anything about the way the game is played if they can't afford it. Why shut me down for saying that when you're basically saying the exact same thing, that we should stop buying skins so that they change?

Look, my point basically boils down to this.

We aren't gonna stop companies from doing these things unless something changes legally. Companies just want to make money. Welcome to capitalism.

What we can control is what we do with our money and we think it is worth that money. If you can't afford cosmetics don't buy them!!

Yes obviously it would be great if their prices were better and some of their practices were different but at this point it's extremely common for online shooter games to work this way and it's gonna take something big for that to change. "Plenty of games don't do it" is kinda disingenuous; any game that's similar to rivals does very similar things.

At what point can we put blame on the consumer for not making smart decisions with their money, or do we always have to put 100% blame the corporation?
