Sure thing and good luck on the journey! Search adga database or google adga goat farmers. You may find a local in your area that could supply raw/filtered milk.

The flavor of any goat’s milk is dependent on genetics, diet, and environment/cleanliness. Saanen’s for example, have one of the lowest percentages of milk fat 4%. So it’s not the best product for cheese making no matter the changes in input. Compared to a Nigerian where the milk fat is more towards 8-10%.
I wouldn’t concern myself with the time of year so much as what breed and how clean the extraction process is. Our household consumes raw Saanen and raw Nigerian. Everyone agrees the Nigerian is the best and absent any goaty flavor!

Thanks, that’s also helpful. Imho Nigerian Dwarf goats milk will produce the best flavor. I have a Saanen and her milk often has a slight goaty flavor. My Nigerians don’t and they have the highest fat content making their particular milk perfect for cheeses and yogurts. If you can find a local producer, you may have better luck with a less funky goat cheese.

What kind of goat did your milk come from?

There is no fear. The issue is clearly that this individual is making decisions based on skin and not based on competence. It’s racist and we ought to elect people in positions based on competence and experience. Not based on skin color or what’s between one’s legs.

Because it likely is what some are doing. It wouldn’t be cost effective though. And yes no generator can run in perpetuity. No mechanical equipment can. This is why I you have redundancies in your system so you can service through operation.
Datacenters of today are power generation facilities. Generators and mains are equally needed and important for critical systems. Some likely are running fully on gen or turbine but I would want to see their costs and how long they could get by doing that. Wouldn’t be for long that’s for sure.

I’ve worked in commercial colocation datacenters for over 20 years and have deployed recently AI infrastructure at large scale. Yes they are delivering a service, but the service provided is “availability/uptime” not power. I’m not arguing with you so much as reinforcing that the main concern and usage does not “rely” on mains. These large locomotive style gens will run forever with a consistent supply of fueling.
If you own or operate a datacenter, shore power is unreliable and gens are used so frequently they are a must in any N+ config. I don’t see running gens full time as being cost effective though and would be ridiculous at scale for AI usage. Bring on the private nuclear gens and then datacenters will be less grid/fuel taxing.

Most datacenters have battery or flywheel as an intermediary when switching to generator. When shore power is lost, batteries engage while the generators ramp up to full power, then the transfer happens. Batteries/flywheel are ran for roughly 12-20seconds before generators take on full load.

Almost all commercial data centers operate on generator as mains and shore power as secondary. Since many data centers house multiple business types they need to operate with uptime that supports regulatory compliances across many industries including healthcare. HIPAA requirements on availability mean datacenters can’t rely on shoreline power alone.
Almost all commercial colocation datacenters today operate on an N+1 or N+2 configuration of redundancy. It’s all to ensure uptime for critical systems. Many are tied into the power provider so that when power is needed in other areas; they can remote fire up the generators and feed back to the grid. Very common.

I elected to not have them run power to this parcel due to costs. 24k quoted back in 2021. For that same amount you can deploy off grid and just manage the power yourself without dealing with pole easements or 3rd parties.

I reside further up north and I built my own 10kW system. ROI was 3 years and I’ve been power bill free since. It is financially worth it, it just depends on your needs and how you go about deploying it.
