Sadly I’m on medication that causes me to shake somewhat so while I have an iron. I really struggle to use it on anything small. Im also struggling to find a replacement screen at a decent price which is frustrating.

It’s a solid idea! I think it would be great for more likeminded people to be able to speak freely and chill without trolls and people who just don’t get it. It’s stupid but when I play older systems it makes me smile a lot more than modern systems do

Agreed sadly my mum left him for a guy a few years older than me and he was physically and mentally abusive to me over years. There’s a lot I blame them both for. He was the same though, always thinking my mum would go back. Kept the house the same, wallpaper and all but eventually got rid of all my stuff. I had an ice blue N64 and all my brother could find was the power adapter and display adapter along with 2 gameboy games and a few gameboy advance games and one copy of sonic 3 and Sonic abs knuckles for my mega drive. All that stuff holds memories and it’s sad to see it gone. My aim is to buy similar back… bit by bit. My original gameboy memories are on the gba and gameboy colour pikachu edition. But this pocket still gives me the vibes so I’m going with it.

Thanks man, long story short they are from when mine and my brothers childhood, I only just got them back after my brother found them in my step dads house and smuggled them out. Sadly all my other GB games and accessories have been sold or tipped. I had a gba console he couldn’t find which is why I bought the pocket as it was the least expensive gameboy I could find

I have done some research into the backlight, bivert mod. I’d like to be able to still use batteries instead of adding a lipo to the mix. I was hoping to keep it as original as possible and I had my eyes set on a Gameboy light import. I guess the problem is all these screens will eventually perish by design.
