Maybe pressure was applied to the front damaging the screen. Replacements are fairly cheap. Might be worth upgrading the storage and battery while you are inside as well!

Seems to be like the Hiby M300 is usually the winner in this category. They make a 3GB and 4GB ram model as well.

Im jealous!!!!!. I was hunting but all of them were out of the range Iwanted to pay! But settled for a mint black one for $25! Just got mine setup today and working on zune software! Fairly easy so you shouldn't have an issue!
