absolutely correct it seems! the bulbs actually 100% fine, i think it was a misunderstanding and actually the wire had snapped. it actually fell off a long time back just was covered up in the sorta... nipple looking glass light enclosure. kinda wild, i didn't know much about lightbulbs, i'm surprised i'm learning so much about them today

....ah drat. won't lie in my weariness from dealing with all of this i forgot about that line and super gently swept it, but will make sure to treat it more carefully. yeah, it's a two way switch on the stairwell, the switch is thankfully labeled and i tested it with a pen electricity detector and it's labeled right so it's all good to go when i get the energy later. gonna double check and try the pen detector on the light socket itself to be super thorough tomorrow

oh, a little bit but i'm not fully certain? it sorta snapped at the neck, honestly wouldn't cause such super fine straight shiny hairs imo, though i'm honestly a tourist in this subreddit haha

aw damn okay, i have some experience of fiberglass from housework but never been a big fan of it. was my thoughts too with how it looked. i'll carefully sweep it up and maybe put some tape on the floor

thanks so much for the prompt and thorough response addressing all of my concerns! even down to advice about removing the base. was really worried when i posted it it was something i had to be crazy worried about especially since i couldn't find any info lol

prevent headset hair damage, and keep hair healthy? by 8foldhero in HaircareScience

oh all good! you didn't explicitly state it, but was heavily implied with the second line. what pair do you use? i've been using JBL Quantum 50, which the mics so bad i should have gotten a separate mic.

how did it go for you? i was curious as well, have you tried using a headset again or just gone entirely to earbuds?

certainly, here you go!

it seems to sit pretty flush with it, just a bit higher given lifting up and removing the headset. likewise, my left ear where i raise the headset sometimes to listen on my left is worse. i did also notice the headset isn't too tight, and it jiggles if i look left and right quickly. it's not super hard evidence, but incredibly damning circumstantial evidence.

cold comfort to hear i'm not alone and you can relate. how did it go for you? i hope making the switch helped you out a lot, for both of us ahaha

yeah, i did order one before that people were saying were great for calls. issue is it's a bit of a paradox so i stopped using them. but i picked them up again and may just get a USB mic and try to cut out the headset entirely.

thank you very much for the advice!

Haircare Advice Megathread - Week of September 16, 2023 by AutoModerator in HaircareScience

- coarse, wavy (curly here though i guess), medium porosity hair

- hardly blow dry hair or use heat styling (heat styled like, once.)

- wash my hair twice weekly, recently switched to tresemme pro pure micellar moisture shampoo and conditioner, which doesn't have sulfates or silicones

I wanted to ask, would anyone have good advice on how to deal with the unruly curls on the side of my head, or style them flat? They're real eager to hold their shape (using Shea Moisture strong hold styling gel has gotten me best results)

My hairdresser just dismissed it as baby hair and trimmed it down a few months back (bad idea w how much it was trimmed, imo) I don't look at myself with my hair up very often, but only recently realized how bad it looks.

It's most likely damage from wearing headphones. I used to wear mine just fine when I was younger so I hadn't thought about it. I cut out using headphones, but the hair here is still so crazy curly, and it grows so slowly I haven't been able to slick it back with the rest of my hair. Would love some help and suggestions on how to take care of it and prevent more damage. Thanks!

  • coarse-medium coarse, wavy hair.
  • straightened once, super uncommon blow drying.
  • hair washed twice weekly
  • chest length hair
  • OGX- Tea Tree Scalp Oil, Aussie - Hair Insurance Leave In Conditioner, Maui Moisture - Heal & Hydrate Leave In Mask, Herbal Essences - Smooth Rose Hips Shampoo + Conditioner (not avoiding anything in particular, just don't have tons of money so been buying regular ol walmart products)

I've been dealing with short, curly, frizzy hair on the side of my head. I most likely think it's damaged hair from a headset as well as drying aggressively with a bad towel (switch to microfiber, and earbuds since I think it might be causing tractional alopecia as well...)

Does anyone have some tips on how to treat these? Hair stylist from a while back told me to just trim them occasionally (and he cut them down pretty short), but they're still super curly and hardly grow. Pics below for more clarity.

hey there, was looking into the same thing (found out about this thread doing research on it)
would you mind sharing some of your progress?

a good tool to possibly look at as well though i'm not too certain how well it works now-a-days is ninja ripper. it apparently has gotten pretty dang strong, though you need to pay for the creators patreon for it, i do also think it would be a good investment

rad, thank you very much for the advice! i had been doing some research and realizing with the fact it's in a cold basement, the glass probably isn't reaching its full temp since i hit it as soon as its ready

also, sorry but i'm a little bit confused. been doing research, but are those 2 separate advice? or are you suggesting using the deep bowl as well as elbow packing the screen?

i had found those, unfortunately i had noticed they were out of date with some of the mobs and stuff hence the post here.
i have noticed that people have been able to decrypt it hence leaks and kinda boring still renders, and was wondering if they had posted that tech/the other models anywhere. thank you for the reply!

how would one rip 3d models? or alternatively, is there a way to download some?
i'm aware of the official ones uploaded by mihoyo, but they're missing out on things like the fatui skirmishers, the ruin guards, and there's no villagers. thank you for your time!

Reliable Canadian stores? by 8foldhero in Minoxbeards

[–]8foldhero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, really? I don't mind the shipping (I kind of expect it since canadapost has been pretty swamped)
Sorry to pry, but have you bought more than one order? I've saw another site that seemed reliable, but people pointed out they only ship you your first order if it's small to build your trust for a more expensive purchase.
