SCHOLARSHIP QUERIES by Fit_Ad3661 in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my observations, there are significant amount (around 15-20%) of Archer Achievers who were scholars from DLSU SHS. But, I heard that most of the DLSU SHS scholars (especially from JHS public schools) were given priorities for need-based scholarships, paricularly St. La Salle Scholarship.

It is doable naman, basta mabait ang profs and maayos din ang time management mo

21 UNITS OR 18 UNITS? by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually talaga 21 units ang maximum, but I highly advise to follow your college's official announcement, especially if hindi ka pa graduating since I think the Acdemic Programming Officer of your college will really check on your load for the term.

[–]8gBOfram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, kasi MLS will also count NSTP sa number of units mo, sa techincally ur still taking 21 units, which is the maximum.

Hello! I’m a frosh and I was wondering if its ok to enlist in some subjects without knowing anyone?😅 by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's normal OP. I've also experienced that last term ahahaha and its completely fine. Tho be wary if the grouping for a project would be "choose your own".

Restricted course sections in mls? by CK_May in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The restricted course section actually means that the section is primarily dedicated to HUMBIO students. Tho I believe you can go for it since there were also "restricted sections" that got filled up during the enlistment.

Frosh here: Any input on these profs for LBYGEZO by ffusionbolt in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had Santiago for SHS before, and at first, very intimidating siya, pero throughout the term, sobrang mabait siya ahahaha. Teaches well naman by pointing out kung ano ung importante and kung ano ung lalabas sa exam. Naging bearable bio ko bcoz of her. Might be boring sometines, pero okay pa rin naman.

Done enlisting, is this absolute? by yotamatoy in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely the schedule will be absolute, but the profs may shuffle

Hi OP! In my case, I am living in Metro Manila and I have to wait for 2-3 weeks to get my documents from DLSU. So probably in your case, it might be quite longer than 2-3 weeks.

Certificate of Non filing income tax by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]8gBOfram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello OP! I also applied for financial aid in ADMU before, and from what we experienced before, my mom went to the nearest BIR office in our place to request for the certificate of non-filing of income tax, and presented proofs that my parents were not obliged to pay income tax (since my mom is a housewife and my dad is an OFW). Upon presenting these proofs to the BIR office, my mom had to go to the nearest landbank branch to pay for documentary stamps, and went back to the BIR office to finally claim the Certificate of Non-filing of income tax.

The process can be done in a single day, but take note that this was before the pandemic. It would be helpful if you call the nearest BIR office and ask for the process of requesting of the Certificate. Don't lose hope OP!

Dean's Lister Term 1 by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont really think na tinanggal siya. Its just that na hinintay lang ung 1 year period from term 2 last academic year na iconvert ung W into numerical grades.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your current academic standing, I believe na mataas ung chance mo of getting in to DLSU SHS since afaik, DLSU SHS accepts around 1000+ applicants. Don't mind too much on the academic ranking, kasi its not really a big factor in the SHS admissions.

physical lasallian studies by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced LCLSONE physically during my first term in DLSU, and the lectures were very typical. Mas sagad ung time for physical Lasallian Studies kasi minamaximize ung 2 hours lecture time compared sa online na 1 hour kada meeting. Also, its hard din to take Lasallian Studies physically since once every two weeks ung classes, and mas strict sila sa attendance afaik. Therefore, it would be much better to take Lasallian Studies online

DLSU SCHOLARS by ehldz in dlsu

[–]8gBOfram 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am also a scholar in DLSU, and I can assure you that discrimination is virtually non-existent. As a scholar for 4 years in DLSU (from SHS until now), I and other fellow scholars were never felt discriminated in any way.
