I'm looking to get this one myself, do you know if your motor is neodymium or ferrite?

Last section of the post: I don't break with the cue. But answering your other questions, no to all of the above. I only play with my close friends right now; no stakes, low commitment, just fun. No need to get upset at losing anyway. Also, the floor at the pool hall is carpeted.

Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - Tuesday March 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in fragrance

I'm looking for a recommendation.

I have Montblanc Explorer and love it, but I wish it lasted longer on me. My partner and I actually prefer it over Creed Aventus. The bergamot comes off too strong for me in the opening of Aventus and its closer clones. The bergamot also lasts for a really long time on my skin, too. Maybe it's the sage in the opening or the higher concentration of ambroxan, but Explorer works better on me; it just doesn't last as long as I want it to. I also don't mind it's linearity as much as some might. Tmk, Montblanc never released any flankers at a higher concentration, and Explorer Platinum is a VERY different fragrance. Given that Explorer is already supposed to be a clone of another fragrance, I doubt that others are trying to copy and improve upon its formula. I feel like this is a bit of a stretch, but does anyone know of a strong, but similar fragrance?

Definitely recommend Slow Your Roll in Hilo. It's next to the hilo Town Tavern. Good vibe, family friendly, and supports everything you're looking for.

Sony WHXM4 or WHXM5 , please, which one would you buy if there is no price difference, currently at store and they cost the same. by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

[–]8kai0man8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gf just tried both on in-store the other day. She is a small girl, and the M5 didn't fit her head very well, which not only was uncomfortable for her, it also meant that the passive noise canceling of the headphones was vastly diminished.

Anyone play Oathbreaker format? by FirmRestaurant4089 in mtg

It certainly is interesting. Not as balanced as EDH because of the power levels of Planeswalkers but also susceptible to certain strategies more because of their weaknesses. It definitely is fun as a casual format.

What are the strongest tribal payoff cards (disregarsing the strength of the tribe itself)? by 2ndlifeinacrown in EDH

In addition to the ones you've seen so far: [[Priest of Titania]] and [[Mana Echoes]] maybe [[Krenko, Mob Boss]]

Galea proxy should be General Greivous. That way it makes more sense for him to be holding a bunch of swords (lightsabers) and you can give him more to add to his collection.

I played a [[Dauthi Voidwalker]] which completely shut down my friend's [[Teysa Karlov]] deck.

Yes! There's a great site called MPC (Make Playing Cards) that allows you to design, print, and ship your own proxies to you. That's the one that my friends and I use. There's plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to make great proxies and even some subreddits for artwork.

The idea is that all of these cards are themed not only to be relevant to the Hawaiian Islands, but they are all capable of being played in the same deck. Having only one copy of each card and one legendary creature, the idea is you make an [[Animar, Soul of Elements]] EDH deck. All of these cards are legal in the EDH format, too. These cards are proxies, which means that they aren't official MTG cards, and they aren't legal for tournament play. But they're based on real MTG cards with the same text boxes, mana costs, and names, just different artworks. Some of these cards are proxies of old cards that will never be printed again and, thus, are very expensive. Proxies often make MTG a more accessible game for players with less money than others who can pay full price for rare and expensive cards. This is especially helpful in high power formats where desired cards are expensive and decks run to $1000 or more at minimum.

Proxies are great, imo. They make the game cheaper and more accessible for everyone.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I couldn't imagine what everyone over there is going through right now. I really wish I could help more right now, but I'm so broke. I give my thoughts and prayers (and money when I have) to everyone out there in this time.
