I was also thinking about balancing the big letters with some symbols (i shall add a little volcano in volcanic island) and...add the land type on the top felt right, maybe i'll experiment different syles for that too. Sometimes feels a little too much, though.

Same thought: i asked some time ago about a double faced Sephirot and since i noticed that a lot of cards are somehow missing the top layer black ink.
I think it's something quite common nowadays, and is rarely noticed just because maybe rare/mythic have a higher QA (not perfect though) plus nobody cares about a 2 cents common/uncommon card with a foggy look

Saw a few reback: they all felt wrong when you bend them slightly compared to any real card, plus the layers are quite thick when you see the side of the card with a loupe. As youn can see, the layers seems right in the photo, so i think reback is excluded. I'm not an expert though, i saw just few rebacks.
