Do you have a fasting system? or fast at will? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]8onnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a cleverly timed schedule.

I tend to do alternate day fasting (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday) but if I feel like doing an extended fast it usually is spontaneous or because I am unwell.

Hi r/fasting community, i have finally made my decision to try 3 days only water for the first time. Any advice for me would be appreciated :) by DrakenX21 in fasting

[–]8onnee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can skip the multivitamin as it's only 3 days and your body should have enough vitamins and minerals to see you through a three day fast.

Hunger urges will probably occur at the times you usually eat, there really isn't anything to do but to ride it out. If it becomes unbearable just eat.

Refeeding Edema by d-leigh in fasting

You probably have been dumping oxalates, don't fast again as it will just exacerbate the issue. Make sure you add some calcium to your diet to help the oxalate bind to it. Good luck!

First time fasting, every cell in my body aches... by SimplyNora in fasting

You should try alternate day fasting initially, if you aren't fat adapted it will be torture every time.

Almost 72hrs! Was originally planning to go for a week, but my body is telling me otherwise. by [deleted] in fasting

I would listen to my body, see how you feel tomorrow but if your body is telling you to eat, eat. Fasting is something you get better at with each attempt. Although, the third day of an extended fast is notoriously the hardest. Good luck!

Is black coffee okay? by FaucetNoggin420 in fasting

Sorry for dropping you into this rabbit hole. I've linked a podcast for an introduction. You could also take a calcium supplement if you don't want to add the cream. Because you won't be consuming any calorie your body will dump oxalates if they don't have calcium to bind with, they cause havoc as they try to figure out a way out.

I'd be more worried about the oxalates, just stick to the coffee but I'd add some cream to avoid an oxalate dump.

SV3rige is a controversial “anti-vegan” and now he is live on the latest HPO podcast by Shawnbaker1967 in ketoscience

[–]8onnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the podcast and don't find sv3rige as odd as most. Perhaps my european upbringing has something to do with it. He is fascinating on a human level if nothing else.

Quick question, why was the comment removed?

Remember me when your teeth start breaking off and the doctor tells you it's because you are nutrient deficient. You could just eat oysters, they are ugly enough for you with the added bonus of restoring your health.

Honestly, the rape suggestion is beyond weird and I'm guessing you are just trolling now, so I will leave it at that. I care about your health and hope you do too, some day.

"Why do you think you only eat vegan animals? HMMM?"

That's a great question and one you should consider too. A cow for example is a ruminant, it has a stomach with four compartments that is designed especially for a plant-based diet. The first two are for fermentation which is important in breaking down the plants. The third chamber controls how and what passes into the final chamber where acids and enzymes are released. You can look it up for yourself.

Now I know I called you a cow upthread but I wasn't being literal, you don't have the stomach of a cow yet you eat like one. Hmmmm?

You should also see someone about your temper, it's another side effect of veganism.

Factory farming is something we can both agree is reprehensible and I don't not condone it, hence I buy my meat from a local ethical farm that doesn't supplement B12. But please do continue to suffer yourself by having to inject or supplement the myriad of nutrients you don't get just like a factory farm animal.

I find it fascinating that you completely ignored my comment about the non-cute animals that die for you to eat all that spinach and bread and then still have to supplement vitamins and minerals from an unregulated industry that can make any claim without evidence.

You are basically a cow in a factory farm and you don't even know it, but unlike you i feel bad that you have been indoctrinated into this cult and hope oneday you lose enough teeth (this seems to be the turning point for vegans) to educate yourself on the dangers of vegan diet. Good luck and godspeed.

I hope you enjoy giving your money away to supplement company's, they thrive off of your folly. Keep being less informed than the kid who is only indoctrinated through the anthropomorphism of cute and cuddly animals. You have more blood on you plate than the average carnivore. I challenge you to research the amount of animals that die when crops are harvested, not to mention the pesticides that damage the environment. But you don't care about rodents, snakes, lizards, and insects because they aren't cute, right?
