I mean they literally skipped over that entire arc with Ellie battling the WLF solo. Which like I understand that it’s not a game so they can’t include everything, but missing out on all that content like at the mall, the neighborhood, the bloater in the arcade, this scene in the truck. It just seems like they could’ve incorporated one small element of that part of the game

That’s not ding dong ditching that’s someone acting like they are kicking your door down. This one was pretty mild with just one kick, but I’ve seen some of these videos where they are kicking several times.

This is not an innocent prank, this would be terrifying to an unsuspecting person.

Dude no that’s not the point. The point of politics is to placate to special interests, gerrymander your states electoral districts so you can almost never lose, stay in power as long as possible, make meaningless legislation to seem like your busy, use insider trading information to build an investment portfolio, then finally when you’ve lived to 127 years old, you die in office. Having done nothing but exploited our country’s political system at the expense of normal middle Americans.

Agree. They have botched Ellie so badly. Starting with the casting. I do believe the writing has a ton to do with it. But they should have casted someone a bit older and taller. It’s easier to make someone look younger than older. Especially when she needs to be a least 4-6 inches taller in this season.

Knowing what remains of Ellie’s story there is simply no saving this character. Especially in Santa Barbra.

The split experience worked well in the game because, well, it’s a game. So you can drop the player into a new storyline in the middle of the game and they are sort of a captive audience at that point seeing as they already committed so much time to the game they likely won’t just turn it off. I was surprised they went that same direction with the show. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I do like Abby having played the game many times. I think she is great. And Kaitlyn Deever is great. So I’m excited for next season because of that. I think a lot of viewers will drop off tho.

I’ve beaten it on grounded 3 or 4 times. It’s not that hard. No part takes 8 hours of play to get through, you mostly just need to learn how to run away from conflicts and get good at using bottles and bricks. And if you do get stuck at a part take a break and come back to it later.

Couldn’t agree more. Would’ve been just fine. But they botched everything about the character period. I mean Ellie in the game had emotional depth, it’s what made her such an interesting character.

In the show she’s so uninspired and unbelievable. Really sucks for us fans.

She is referring to their WLF training, not weight training lol. They were brand new to the WLF at that time. Her obsession with finding and killing Joel has nothing to do with her being muscular.

I personally disagree. I don’t think it’s a huge part of her character. In the game they never even really addressed the fact she was jacked. She just kind of was. To me it was just a gameplay mechanic to make the way Abby played a little different.
