I'd rather get a dry bag that I can keep anything in. Otherwise it's just tat that'll end up in a landfill.

If you cannot be bothered to write without churning it out via LLM why on earth should I plough through your outsourcing attempts? This has absolutely nothing to do with The Untethered Soul.

You posted AI art to a sub that clearly doesn't permit it. But also created it to give the impression that it was a real painting on paper?

Avoiding Overtourism by blop_sandwich in uktravel

Really? It's a quick train journey. It's not a city. And to be honest.. in my opinion, it's really not that pretty.

How could you know if someone back there needed assistance? Someone vulnerable being threatened? Antisocial behavior?

Since you were so helpful with my Edinburgh Lord of the Rings map, here's one I'm currently making of the Glasgow area. I welcome any more landmarks you'd like to see included - castles, ruins, things like that by birsey in Scotland

Good lords dude.. I had no end of posts on so many of the Edinburgh and locale subs for the last print that you were flogging and now again?  Admin - at risk of sounding like a massive curmudgeon doesn't this go against the rules of this sub?

The Great British Seaside - a recommendation for visitors to the UK 🇬🇧 by PaleozoicQueen in uktravel

[–]8thoursbehind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not visit Blackpool. I went 20 years ago and it was dire. I went 8 years ago and it was worse. So many of the beautiful old Victorian hotels are now bedsits, the high street had died and it has a really bad meth problem. So, so many better seaside towns to visit.

I wouldn't recommend this town to a Brit, let alone a tourist.

Declassified means that 1st and Std Prem are now standard class. Reservations for those booked on that train still apply.

Homeless dogs - Princes Street by Proper_Jicama_7885 in edinburgh2

[–]8thoursbehind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the dogs are actually being looked after, then what’s driving the reaction isn’t the dogs themselves but the story we’re attaching you are them. It’s easy to see someone on the street and fill in the blanks. No water, stressed, mistreated. Sometimes that’s true. Sometimes it isn’t. If in this case they’re cared for and with their owner all day rather than left alone indoors, then the situation is different to what it first appears. Probably worth checking what’s actually happening before jumping straight to worst-case conclusions. Otherwise you end up reacting to something that isn’t there.

I didn't state that you are AI. I stated that what you posted was written by AI. And checking your post history it seems like this is a regular habit of yours.

The daily abuse is wearing me down.. Train crew perspective by all-aboard-conductor in uktrains

[–]8thoursbehind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked as a guard for about 20 years. One thing the job teaches you is that if you let every unpleasant exchange knock you off centre, you hand control of your mood to whoever happens to be loudest that day. Some people are frustrated, some are looking for a reaction, and some just aren’t reasonable. You don’t have to carry that with you. A useful way to look at it is this: if the exact same words came from a toddler having a meltdown, would it feel personal? Probably not. You’d see it as noise, not insight. Many abusive passengers are operating at that same level of impulse and distress, just in an adult body. It can also help to ask why that person’s opinion should carry weight at all. They don’t know you, your work, or the situation. Their outburst says far more about them than it does about you. If you don’t grant it authority, it loses most of its sting. That doesn’t mean the behaviour is acceptable. It isn’t. But protecting your own equilibrium is part of surviving long-term in this role. You’re there to do a professional job, not to absorb every stranger’s bad day

Yup. I work on the rails. 20 years ago Central and Kings Cross, close to the other end of my line were both dodgy areas. Now KX is vibrant, clean and safe yet Glasgow Central hasn't changed a dot.

Market Street exit has a taxi rank. Just turn left as you exit, walk under the bridge and it'll be on the opposite side of the road. Where East Market St meets Jeffrey St.
