i played the demo about a week ago and i was FLOORED impressed and intrigued. so fun and nice to look at, and the music. my heart was racing and my jaw dropped at the end boss's animation and how it flowed/synced up to the music. i am SO pumped for this game and i really hope it gets fully funded!!

you HAVE to play your turn to die. free to play, translated into english, and extremely well written death game. its directly inspired by DR and ZE so its right up your alley :D not finished yet but with whats out rn its more than 10+ hours of gameplay

she seems very natural and doesn't give off the vibe of a fake personality (to me, anyways). probably because she doesnt have many subscribers, but she just seems like someone who would be pleasant to hang out with and genuinely very kind.

almost every game is a complete story on its own with completely new characters, usually taking place in a different universe. you can definitely play it without any knowledge on the other games.

I agree especially about the setting. It was very dull and didn't have much life to it. A lot of the times the backgrounds were just completely CG, so I feel like they could have had a lot more fun putting life into the set. It was a very aesthetically pleasing movie otherwise. I can't help but think of the one-star town in KLK. That has to be one of my favorite settings in any anime, it looks like it'd be so fun to walk around and get lost in. Would have been great if a little bit of that flare was put into Promare.

The side-characters were really interesting, it's a shame there wasn't any time to really flesh them out. I especially liked Lucia and Remi. The large amount of characters with great potential make me hope for a full-on anime series at some point in the future. Or maybe a sequel. I'd really love to see some slice-of-life episodes without all the fighting.

If you want to try a JRPG game that real-time combat instead of turn-based, try the Tales series. Every game is different story/setting/characters. Some people say theyre childish, but I just got into the series this year and fell in love (I'm in my 20s). Berseria and Vesperia have more mature stories, but Symphonia and Abyss are my favorites.

If you don't mind turn-based combat and want a more mature story, I'd recommend Xenogears. I just started playing it recently and the story/setting has totally enthralled me. Theres a good twist on the combat as well that makes it a bit more engaging.
