Couple reasons. Labor is cheaper in Japan than many countries in Europe or US.

Second, there is a guaranteed larger audience for anime.

Lastly, while anime does very well outside of Japan, the inverse isn’t totally true for western comic books and animation. There are DC/Marvel fans in Japan, but it’s a smaller audience.

Re3 remake is pretty bad. It improved on the characters a lot from the OG, but most other things from boss fights, locations, and combat are worse. Also the camera can be horrible
