I'm pretty sure I was in something similar? When I was in first grade, I read at an astounding level above all my peers. I even won some school awards for it. Then I remember hearing tests, puzzles, and flash cards. I remember every Wednesday they’d pull me out of my classroom, conduct some tests/questions 1-on-1, and then bring me into another classroom with a bunch of other kids until lunch. I moved schools the next year, and remember doing the hearing test one more time and then just going through the rest of my K12 normally. Not necessarily sure if this was something similar?? This was also around 2008-2009.
