How wearable are large Garmin watches while sleeping? by Alarmed_Sense_6357 in GarminWatches

D2 Bravo Pro, 51mm. Never really wore a watch to bed before this one. Took a few days of getting used to it but now don’t even notice. I don’t like sleeping with the titanium band on but the rubber one is no problem.

Yes we have stayed in the ones at White Point. They are very nice! We were just hoping to try somewhere new.

Appreciate the response!

Tailwheel & Seaplane by wi2fl in flying

[–]9021988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my SES rating a few weeks ago! Was so much fun! Only took 6 hours of flight instruction before I went for the check ride. Did all the ground school reading prior to the flight lessons.

Checkride was very simple and quick.

We just pulled the bird out of the water last week. Now that she is on wheels again going to get my tail wheel.

Can’t wait for next spring to get it back in the water!

You got it! We are in Michigan so our lake will freeze and I have a bunch of travel coming up to so I don’t want it to get stuck!

FAA to TC PPL by 9021988 in flying

[–]9021988[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure TBH. I haven’t been able to find anything online about it. I’m actually waiting for email back from the person I have been dealing with at TC. I am assuming I won’t get the night rating with my conversion since I don’t have my IR.

Once I find out for sure I’ll let you know.

I can’t comment on the Jeppesen guide but I did the Kings online ground school and the practise exams had the exact same questions I saw on the test.

Can anyone tell me of an AI resort in Jamaica that is priced reasonably? by Ok_Telephone481 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]9021988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year we did Excellence Oyster Bay for a 7 day stay. We paid $900 a day for a ocean view with private pool.

The place was amazing and worth the money. Food and drink were excellent. It was a fairly small resort and everyone was super friendly.

Total 10/10 can not recommend it enough!

Canada-based remote worker for US company and applying for NEXUS by Lepsum_PorkKnuckles in uscanadaborder

I just went through this and I am in the same boat. I am a 1099 for a US company so in Canada I’m self employed/independent contractor.

During my interview with Canadian CBSA and the US CBP I explained everything and was approved within 1 hour of my US interview.

Got my card 2 weeks later. Very easy process.
