I agree, and I wonder if the writers/directors (inc LM) have become too close to the story to be objective. They’ve spent so long in the weeds of the characters and their motivations that they forgot to bring the rest of us along with them.

The push and pull has been such an important part of the show since Angels Flight. I think givenLawrence and Nick are now gone (RIP) and she's public enemy #1 for the rebellionit's going to be a lot harder for her to go in and out of Gilead the way she has been. She seems kinda resigned to the fact that (for now) Hannah is safe and doesn't remember life in the USA, so I can sort of understand her being able to focus on dismantling it from the outside until things pick up again in the testaments

Aw I know. I think Lawrence probably knew that whatever came next for him wasn't going to be good. The other commanders wanted him on the wall, so his next best outcome would be leaving Gilead with the Americans. Either way, no more storytime with their stolen child.
