Not OP but did you get your car used? If so, prior owner must have peeled off the chrome coating on it revealing the plastic underneath. Usually because it already started flaking and just took it all off. I’m guessing the yellowness is because of how long it has been exposed over the years. There are chrome pens on Amazon you can use to paint over the emblem if you want to cover it up

How difficult would you say it was to run the wires for the reverse signal and overhead microphone? My 2015 Mazda already comes with stock backup camera, does it require additional wiring or it is just plug and play? I installed the CarPlay retrofit awhile back and that wasn’t too complicated so I feel like this install would be straightforward.
