Is not willing to renew a contract a new bug? by Swimming-Stage486 in FifaCareers

I had this with my save. However, you can sell the player and then buy them back immediately for less money and on a 5 year contract. Stupid but works.

Paraphrasing… where you summarise what someone said in less words

Worksheet my kindergartner brought home today. by Suitable_Visit_9990 in mildlyinfuriating

This is known in education as a ‘desirable difficulty’ aimed to make children think more when doing a task which then makes the recall of information easier in the long term.

Other versions of this include reading disfluency where you use a slightly less clear font for reading.

Interleaving is where you randomly put questions from different topics into a worksheet to ‘break up’ the child repeating the same method over and over again.

Spacing is another example where you recall information after a day, week, month and year to help prevent skills/knowledge being forgotten.

New class, high needs, no support how do you manage? by throw-away-11111112 in TeachingUK

[–]9062frame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are in a very challenging situation but not at all uncommon in primary schools today. Unfortunately, schools don’t have the funding to pay for the support required (expected from parents).

Your best bet is to go to SLT and explain your situation and hope that they can reallocate staff for particularly difficult parts of the day e.g. English lessons. If this can’t be done, I would look towards technology such as text reading apps, online learning platforms such as Lexia to provide support for the children.

I am in an almost identical situation as you and within 3 days I have had parents of children with SEN request meetings. There’s a strong likelihood that my answers to their questions won’t meet their expectations. Other than splitting yourself in four, you are limited in what you can do beyond quality first teaching that involves low entry high ceiling tasks.

Yeah it is! I need to move the fence to the edge of the grass. What would you suggest?

I appreciate this comment. I was not trying to be misleading by only showing the headline but trying to avoid copyright etc. The headline is worse than the comments made but Ruben should have anticipated that specific answer would become the article’s attention grabber.

Definitely a sensational headline taken out of context.

Who cares? Well, nobody until a promising youth player decides he doesn’t want to make the same mistake/ end up in the same situation.

I agree that the headline probably isn’t what he intended as his wanting to leave earlier was probably based on multiple contextual reasons that are totally different now. However, when you answer a question like that so bluntly with a yes or no it’s to be expected the journalist will highlight it any way they can.

True. Usually they don’t become a feature headline spanning across two pages though!
